We as a family have used this Funeral Home for years, that is until recently when I was going to use them for my dad who had just passed away yesterday at the hospital in Austin. The Chaplin asked me who I wanted to use and I knew that kubenas was the one since I used them for my mom and other family members. That was until the owner called and asked me what he was doing and then said to wait and he would call me back in a few mind you this was 4 in the morning. So he did and asked me what I wanted I wasn't really for sure what he meant until he said is this for a cremation or burial and with this being something that we were not expecting I told him I wasn't for sure and he said he needed to know right then and there. Then he said just forget it I will just refrigerator him. Really unprofessional and felt like he didn't care a bit. Then when I had the Chaplin call back and tell him I no longer needed his service he decided to keep calling and calling until I had the Chaplin to call him back and tell him to please stop calling me. I ended up having to block the number.

We laid our mother to rest today. Years ago she took out a prepaid funeral plan with our stepdad. She made all of her wishes known to how she wanted her ceremony and burial to occur. When we went to see Eugene Kubena he went through the whole procedure of what she wanted and stopped when our tears started flowing; giving us time to grieve. He asked us to tell us about our mother and listened to our memories of her and what she was like. He gave us more than we could ask for. When it came time to place her in her final resting place Andy Kubena was very attentive to the family and told us how we were going to proceed and make mom's funeral beautiful, seamless, and thoughtful. It was wonderful and our family could have not wished any better than the service Kubena Funeral Home gave us in our time of mourning.

Best funeral home. Outstanding staff. They are great. Very helpful in your time of need. They NEVER take advantage. Heck, this just might be the best funeral home in Texas.

Things were nice until we got to the cemetery, we were burying my uncle and when we got there they had put the dirt on top of my father's grave. They were both veterans and this all took place on memorial weekend, the next day all the dirt was still piled on top of my father's grave after being paid to remove it. When we called, the man was not very nice or willing to anything for 2 more days.

I had a family friends Wife Joyce Bucek pass away. I think y'all did the best job. (Open casket) . Your staff was great. I want to say Thank you for helping out the BUCEK in their time of need. God Bless every one. David Villarreal
