Giving 3 stars for their effort and that’s being nice, this is a terrible location understaffed and overworked. (only because I used to work in pharmacy and I know it can be hard) They never have medication ready on time. They laugh and joke amongst each other at the wrong times, when they have a waiting area full of customers waiting. Mistakes are made probably because not enough staff or poor management. I have been shorted medication multiple times. I honestly feel bad for the worker’s corporate needs to do better at this location. The reviews says all you need to know about this location.

The GBC CVS PHARMACY is the absolute worst business to have to do business with. Full of un-caring, lazy, incompetent, rude employees. As many have reviewed, it often takes days upon days to get your prescriptions filled. They send you a text saying its ready & when you get there, its not. Or your Dr will call in an RX & you arrive at CVS hours later, & they don’t have it ready, often claiming that your Dr didn’t even call it in. I have been there when it was 15 mins before the pharmacy closing time and they already had their counter gate down. You stand there waiting for acknowledgement and they all pretend they cant see you…looking at their computers or walking around. You call out Hello ! and they just keep on doing whatever they are doing, like they cant see nor hear you. Years ago my husband tried to buy a package of Sudafed OTC. His DL is bent up & it would not scan in the checkout machine. So the little girl running the register refused to sell it to him. I had words with the pharmacist ( Rodriguez) and he told me that they are required by law to scan the DL. I informed him that I was quite familiar with the Texas Health & Safety Code and NO WHERE does it state that you have to SCAN a DL. You are required to collect the buyers info – by written log, or typing in the DL info, or scanning the DL itself, but NO WHERE is it written that you MUST SCAN the DL. He was surprised that I knew what I was talking about but my husband was so furious by that time that he refused to go back & purchase anything from them. I am now dealing with CVS totally against my will as they are the only one around who seems to be able to fill my dog’s prescription (due to my pups seizures ) It is a battle EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to get a new RX filled or pick up a refill. First, they never can find it. So I always carry the previous bottle with me and show them HOW they have his name typed into their system ( my dogs profile). Then they all seem to enter his DOB different. Some seem to use my DOB, some use the dogs DOB, and sometimes they just enter 01.01.01 as ‘they’ say that’s how they enter all canines date of birth. Evidently NOT because I always have to go thru 3 different DOBs before they can locate it. A couple of times I have gone to pick up his RX the next day after they say it will be ready and they still cant find it. Once my Veterinarian actually called it in & CVS claimed they never got it. My Vet was so angry that one of the techs actually drove to CVS with a new prescription in her hand – because they wouldn’t answer their phone when the Vet called – and just as we walked back in the door ( my 3rd trip there that day ) they managed to miraculously ‘find’ the earlier request. Sitting on a counter where it had been sitting ignored for a whole day. This week I attempted to get a new RX filled for the pup & it was an even bigger ordeal as 'someone' typed in the RX wrong & I got a text that it could not be filled for over a month as it was not time to 'refill' the RX. Time spent on the phone trying to get it right. Go to pick up the next day, its still not filled. Same story as it wasn't time to 'refill'. I go thru the whole conversation from the day before & they check & finally acknowledge that yep, Kristine said she would fix it, but had gone home without doing so, & they want to get to it the next day. He would have been out of his meds by the next day & it took a debate at the window for them to agree to DO THEIR JOB and fill the RX then, as I had been promised the day before. One lady working at a counter behind the man at the window actually wanted to debate with me whether my dog would die without his meds! I informed her that she was NOT a Vet & certainly did not know my dogs medical issues. I eventually received the RX. There was never an apology, no “sorry you had to wait”, no “sorry for the problem”. Nothing. And never is from them. My whole point is that it should NOT BE SUCH AN ORDEAL every time you have to deal w

Two items:1. Twice called in scripts for nausea medication and when my husband went to pick up, CVS stated no refill requested. Yes, I got a pick-up time.2. I am undergoing chemotherapy and too weak to open the childproof caps. Asked several times for non-childproof caps, got home and CHILDPROOF caps are on medication. So, I have to wait for my husband to get home to take my nausea medication.

I use to patronize Walgreens and switched to CVS due to my Insurance. As it turns out CVS is a more esthetically pleasing store, the staff tend to be more knowledgeable and friendly. Their prices are competitive and their sales and Care Pass are a good value. I look forward to going to CVS and spending my free $5 from my Care Pass every month and I get cash rewards that can be applied to most of my purchases… I hope this helps…

I normally have no issues with this CVS but I have tried calling them multiple times and I go through the automated system as usual and when it transfers me to an actual person it ends up saying that I can't process your request at this time. I need my meds and someone is picking them up for me and I need to know how much they are so I can give them some money. I might amend my review if they answer the phone.

Customer service is good. The pharmacy tech are helpful. Main issue is on certain medications and test strips they are having big issues of not having in stock and/or back order. Trying to call and to get a pharmacy tech to pick is headache. Sometimes they pick up and times I am having to call half the day to try to get tech on line. I understand they are busy. But times it really takes 4-5 or times on a day if I get lucky to get someone?♀️?♀️

All I require of a pharmacy is to have my regular prescriptions ready each month. Straight forward customer service, fulfillment of a standing order. Nothing fancy just have my meds available each month. That’s it!I am continually disappointed with CVS’s ability at this location to perform this simple task. I’d love to know who is responsible for ensuring orders are fulfilled, is it the local head pharmacist, the store manager or some nameless face in CVS?Whoever it is, they are failing miserably. The excuses I get are it’s the app, it’s our system, it’s your insurance. Some months it all works others it doesn’t. Someone somewhere in CVS must be responsible for this, they need to fix it, if they can’t fix it they need replacing.I’m not putting up with such diabolical service. Moving on. I know someone in CVS gets a notification of Google reviews. We’ll see if anyone responds to me. I don’t have any hopethey will.

They could seriously use an overhaul on the phone system it’s an act of Congress to get them to answer the phone to check the prescription

Im currently writing this review for myMom. I understand that sometimes it gets busy and prescriptions take some time. But we have been waiting almost a week for a prescription my mom needs for a surgery she has. We've tried calling multiple times and sat on hold for 40+ minutes just to be hung up on. This is absolutely ridiculous. We called the canton store and got through to the pharmacy immediately come to find out the prescription she needs for her surgery is available at the canton store. I find it outrageous that this store can't pick the phone up and call another cvs or send the prescription to them instead. My god and also come to find out they didn't put my coupon on file that I gave them so I won't be getting my prescription at the rate I expected. Multiple times they've been out of her other prescription that keep her blood pressure down and haven't gotten it for weeks.

As many prescriptions they fill in a day they do a great job. You might have to wait more than a couple of hours after it is called in but what do you expect them to do, pull and fill yours before all the others? You can call and see if is ready before you get there. I mean really.
