They were rude and unconcerned and treated me with disrespect. The customer service person I called was difficult to understand and was sorely under trained. She gave me misinformation and was not in any way helpful. The store was dirty unorganized, hot and empty. The Beaumont Big Lots is not like this at all. I won’t go back to this particular store again.

Pretty good for a big lots, half of the lights were off which wasn't very welcoming or pleasant but the workers were pretty cool.

UPDATE 7/1/23: For the past year, I have limited my time at this store because it's always a problem redeeming their coupons. I went in to use my 10 dollar birthday coupon on the day of its expiration. Before even shopping, I attempted to ask the cashier if she could tell me if I had to spend a certain amount to get it. She seemed EXTREMELY UNWILLING TO HELP and actually expected me to wait while she played around (no customers/ no line) on the computer. After a few minutes, I began my shopping as I was pressed for time. Got to the register, things were coming up with a different price than what was shown, so I did not buy them, (though loss prevention would advise that those items should be given at price shown on display, otherwise it's false advertisement). The young lady was still thinking them up, stating that she did not hear me. At the end of sale, I gave her my cellphone so that she could see my coupon that was sent to my email. She said it was not allowing the coupon. I offered my actual card, she said she verified the account. I gave her my driver's license(showing my birthday). Iasked for a manager repeatedly. Another worker in a black shirt offered to help and told her coworker to ask their other coworker. So, after about 10 minutes, the young lady in the black shirt finally decided to ask the lady in the orange shirt for help. The lady in the orange shirt specifically stated, "call Tina bc a lady was in here earlier and her birthday was 6/6 and Tina had to go in and do something to give her her 10 dollars off". They called Tina and all Tina could say... "the only thing" she could tell me is to "call corporate". What was the difference between myself and the other lady? And who works without a manager or acting manager on duty?? Frustrated, I said I would just pay bc I had to go. I was insulted when they asked if I would fill out a survey for the young lady! That seemed more important than customer satisfaction! I told the young lady to forget it, that I didn't want to purchase ANY of the items. Smh nearly 1 hour in this store to walk out with NOTHING. I won't be going back until customer service is MUCH MUCH MUCH better...i walked next door to FAMILY DOLLAR, got exceptional customer service, spent twice the money, got everything I needed plus some! All with the same credit card the young lady couldn't get to go through at BIG LOTS! TRUST ME.... I WILL BE CONTACTING CORPORATE! Please note that my 1 star is because of the cleanliness of the restroom. Great prices and selections

This place always miss charges you on sale items. I have gone 2 times now and had to return. It times as the cashier didn't catch the sale items. Getting rediclous really. If you are asking why don't I catch it. It's because you can't see the amount on the cash register like you can at other stores. It's too small to see and I usually buy a lot so I am busy emptying my cart. Always a wait in line here too.

For such a beautiful town, the Sunday crew, not so much. I was in a long line of patient customers, which is fine. What was not okay was that there were two workers at the register and only one person was actually checking people out.The other guy was just standing around looking and pretending to appear busy. He didn’t care at all; there were elderly people, etc.It’s just rude- do better and be considerate of others. People spend their hard earned money and deserve respect.
