1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine“This is overall a great facility. A great value for Grapevine residents at (currently) only $75 per year. Some people pay that for an entire month at a fancy big box gym! They have pretty much anything you could want, including well set up weight room, indoor track, plenty of cardio equipment, and racquetball courts. They also have a pool although that membership costs extra and I do not have it. Plenty of accessories like kettlebells, stretch bands, and exercise balls. They do have classes, but in my view this is where the value is not there. It's over $30 for just one class. I was thinking of trying Zumba or yoga, but not for that price. However, it's not a big issue. They have wifi and also some quiet places to sit. I have at times gone up there and worked when my home wifi was out. It's a nice option to have. I have noticed sometimes their trainers hoard weight equipment, which I don't appreciate. Please, only take one set of dumbbells at a time; maybe two if you are doing a superset, then put them back so others can use them. I am at the REC usually about 3-4 times a week and often see a lot of the same people there, so they definitely have their regulars in the community. Pro tip, go right when they open on the weekend (7 a.m.) as that's the least crowded time.”
“The cleanest Anytime Fitness I have been to. The owner Joe, is beyond personable and takes the time to greet his members and guests. The trainer Nick is amazing . Everybody was genuinely inviting and friendly.”
“I was looking for a workout regimen beyond circuit training and random free weights that would minimize injury – that was paramount – and would generally make everyday life easier. A friend exposed me to “functional training,” and I realized that was exactly what I was searching for. I also realized that I really needed a coach; not a personal trainer per se, but someone who would coach me on proper exercises and technique, motivate me, and hold me accountable. MAPS Academy’s small group strength training classes were a perfect match – individualized instruction in a small group setting. MAPS trains everyone from young athletes to at least one octogenarian and everyone in between. I’m in between, and I love the place. Christian, Sam, and Derek are fantastic coaches and, if you stick with them, your strength and mobility will significantly improve and your everyday life will be a piece of cake in short order.”
“I was dropping in from out of town for a conference in the area. I wanted to get a workout in and say I accomplished some form of movement before sitting for several days! The Gym was very accommodating and welcoming. The staff immediately greeted me when I arrived and although they were working with personal clients, they still took the few extra seconds to tell me where I could find some of the amenities. The coaching and class was structured well and I liked the huge projector displaying the workout on the wall. Nice touch! If you're in the area, and you want to get your CrossFit workout on, definitely check them out! Super convenient to get to and close to a nice downtown area.”
