Very nice convention center but lacking in a few areas. Despite being a convention center, there are very limited areas to work. There is only one cafe and it does not have outlets near any of the tables. The bartenders were not very friendly or hospitable. The entire resort was absolutely freezing cold as well, made it very difficult to attend the conference and even eat at the restaurants. Lastly, parking is very expensive, despite there being no other options for nearby parking.

Everything is great but the view from room 4401 is a wall. Absolutely terrible considering how nice the rest of the place is, perhaps if the price is 50% lower for this room this would make sense but not in my

Worst experience of my life .. Had a reservation for 3 nights as I was attending a conference and flight got delayed and I arrived in the night and my room was cancelled because " I didn't check in time " even though we had a credit card on file and it could been charged for the reservation. ... Asked to sit for an hour and half at 3.30 am for system to reboot or something ...,, Worst service ever ....,

Great staycation night here. This is a large property. From my experience I can really only compare it to a Las Vegas sized hotel. They have several full service restaurants, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, on-site shopping. They have their own waterpark (only for hotel guests) on the property, but its about a half mile from the main hotel. They have a shuttle that goes back and forth to the waterpark. The waterpark is great. An area for little kids, an area for a little older/kids and a lazy river. Restaurant and bar onsite at the waterpark.Lots of things for kids to do. Check the website in advance to learn about paid art classes, cooking classes, scavenger hunts, etc.Expect to pay. Parking as of Spring 2022 was $22/day for selfpark. $20/day for resort fee. And the rooms themselves are more than comparable 4 star rooms in DT Dallas. But again, this is a large property that has more to do and amenities than you'd expect from other hotels.

The property is as lovely as what is shown online and offers tons of opportunities for some great holiday pictures. My recommendation, however, would be that to ensure peace of mind and a secure stay that lodging be booked elsewhere and the site visited to enjoy what is available. The resort appears to overbook as a standard practice. At my most recent (current) stay I had a confirmation from Tuesday to Saturday. While I could go on and on about this, the bottom line is that my bill was to be a minimum of approximately $1600 for a 4 night stay that was reserved and confirmed in October. In addition to the online confirmation, it was confirmed again twice by phone on my arrival date. I contacted the hotel by phone the morning of my arrival to ensure my room was feather free, and then again later in the afternoon to ask another question about the property. I was assured my room would be feather free and that notes were placed in my file to ensure no problems at check in. When I arrived I was told that the rooms had been overbooked and that because of this my reservation was basically cancelled. I travel very frequently and have never had a reservation confirmation cancelled in this way. I was told that I could be moved to the Great Wolf Lodge nearby and that I should continue to check with the Gaylord daily, especially after noon which is checkout time to see if any rooms have become available. I had an employee at the front desk tell me it is kind of determined randomly who will get a room. This seemed to be true as some guests were allowed to check in while others were told their confirmed reservations were being cancelled but to keep coming back to see if they could get in later. The employees at the Great Wolf Lodge have been very nice, and to be honest, I do not hold the employees responsible for this. I feel sorry for them having to create explanations / excuses for why their company purposely engages in practices that ensure they cannot honor their obligations or promises by continuing to overbook to an extent that the best the resort can do to try to accommodate some customers is to tell them to line up repeatedly each day to see if enough people leave the resort to allow them to honor their reservation confirmation. How this will be done is “random” as described because it truly is just dependent on the luck of what is readily available in the moment you are called up the desk for “check in.” What a horrible situation for them to be placed in.As I said, the resort is lovely and unique. I would just book a hotel nearby that honors confirmations in a way that I consider standard. I have never had a hotel engage in this practice previously so I would imagine this is a bit unique to them. You can park in the self-parking and enjoy the day much more easily by just removing the lodging from the equation. Unless you are a gambler and like the thrill of not knowing if your confirmation number will be a winner . . .

This place is awesome! We stayed for one night and it wasn't enough! There was so much to do and one night isn't near enough time. The indoor pool was our favorite since our was cold and rainy outside. We also enjoyed the river walk late in the evening before bed. My only note would be in the restroom, there was a slight urine odor that never went away, it was clean but just a lingering smell. Other than that the room was very clean and extremely comfortable.
