I went on 8/18 to get my hair washed and a silk press. Let’s just say Debra needs a lot of training if she’s going to attempt to do a silk press on an African American woman hair. She told me she had experience doing my type of hair. I was like okay cool thinking she really understood the assignment. The hold experience was horrible I looked like I didn’t get my hair done at all. My husband even questioned it like all I got done was a blow out.
I went back on today 8/21 and reported my experience with Ms. Carolyn and she took great care of me. Next time my stylist out of town I will definitely go back and see her. Thank you Ms. Carolyn for understanding we as women take pride in our hair.

I've been a Smartstyles customer for 20 years. My recent visit to 1-20 GP location, the stylist burned my scalp with relaxer and was rude for her to mock me because I was too frugal to pay another $39 for a trim. I told her I wanted to save money by trimming my own ends, I'm already paying $99 for a relaxer... I'll never return to this location.
Stylist: Stylist extremely unprofessional and rude for mocking me.

Wish I could 0 stars my mom has been going here for 7 years she NEVER paid $65 for a shampoo & blow dry. That’s mind blowing so my mom called Ms. Carolyn & asked her why was it so high & she said it’s always been high no it hasn’t been that price- she asked who did my mom hair before & proceeds to say oh that’s why they no longer work there- I could say more but I’ll let my mom handle it - such a rip off

All I did was ask how much it was for my daughter to get a shampoo and cut. The woman replied with the price. I said ok and turned around to leave. She said, are you going to come in. I said no, I'm going to go because I have frozen groceries. She said, Oh that's a good excuse. (Sarcastically) I said, well it wasn't an excuse. All that wasn't needed to be said. I am actually asking around different places for customer service and pricing. Now though, even if SmartStyle was the best price I would not go here. Yall have a great day though.
