Good afternoon,I would first like to say that I'm an avid Polo wearer and have been since I was a kid. My entire closet is full of Polo attire. With the cold months looming, I figured I would purchase clothing from the outlet store in Grand Prairie to be prepared for the Fall and Winter seasons. I drove an hour to get to the store and found some great gear per usual. But to my dismay the cashier left the markers on my clothing. I will admit that the buzzer went off when I left the store but it also went off when I walked in along with several other people so I didn't think anything of it. My problem is, I called and the individual that answered the phone made it seem like it was no big deal for me to drive back to the store. Today was literally my only off day and I would've preferred to relax and enjoy myself versus spending two hours of my day on the road smh. Upon leaving after driving to the store I called and asked to speak with a manager and the individual that picked up told me he was a manager. I told Chris what happened and he instantly stated the next time you come I can give you 20% off of your next purchase. My issue was never receiving a discount, I only wanted someone to address removing markers off of the clothing when it's purchased moving forward or even receiving an apology for the wasted time and gas that I spent without warrant. This experience doesn't change my love for Polo as a brand but I do have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to the customer service I received and the employees that Polo as a company hired.

The young woman working at check out today 10/21 was phenomenal. Helpful, patient and just all around top notch service.Plenty of items in stock, no children’s clothing and most items were already on sale. Currently 25% odd items.

I wanted to purchase a dress but the size I needed was on the mannequin. the employee told me she couldn't take it off - when I asked why she simply re-stated "I can't take it off". I said, "You didn't answer my question". She then told me "I could ask my manager". I said "That would be great. thank you". When she never came to dressing room I got dressed and came out to find her with the manager. I said to him "Is it true you won't allow me to buy that dress?". He said, "I'm sorry I can't take it off the mannequin". I said " You can't or you won't? because there is a difference". He said "We aren't allowed to take clothes off the mannequins". I informed him that he was incorrect because I had shopped there for years and FREQUENTLY had clothes taken off the mannequins- because the size I need is almost always on display. He shrugged and said "Well we aren't allowed to do that.". By now I was just ticked off and said " What happens when the dress is not in season anymore- do you just throw the mannequin out and get a new one? after all you CAN'T take it off right? So what happens to the dress then?". He said "we donate the clothes to charity bc they are damaged". (not sure what the mannequin is doing to damage the dress...and gosh WHO takes it off?). I left all the clothes I was going to buy in the dressing room (about $300-400 worth) and I left. He asked "Do you want me to order the dress?". I looked at him and said " No you lost a big sale and a customer today". As I was leaving he said "well I'm sorry about that.". I said " But ARE YOU REALLY? Because I somehow doubt you are." I then called Ralph Lauren to inform them of the encounter and they apologized. RL said it was absolutely NOT RL policy that they can't take the clothes off - it was just a manger making his own rules. I gave them the location and address of the store when they asked for it. I then drove an hour to purchase that dress in a different location and asked them about this "policy". They laughed and said "uh no....of course we would get the dress off the mannequin and sell it if it was the only size available for you". When I told her which store it was, she said "yeah I'm not surprised. we hear a lot of complaints about that location."

There judgemental because of the color of your skin or conversation you can't afford their expensive items. And their pricing is the same as Dillard's and Macy's and other fine retailers stores. Theres nothing outlet pricing about the Polo outlet store.

This was my first time to the outlet and this was the first store I chose. Not one person helped me or even spoke to me! And there were at least 11 people working there that day. The ONLY reason they got a 2 star rating is because the cashier was so sweet and helpful. I'll never return there again.
