have to be the rudest people in the world at this shop. lady at checkout changed price tag on item and did not notice until we got home. another employee rammed my wife with a mattress, just like a BULL in an china shop. and the money is going to a good cause... right. never, ever going back to that place again and believe me, I will let my friends know

The boys and girls club runs an after school program and summer program that’s very affordable for struggling families. They helped me in my time of need so I will continue to donate and help them.

We recently moved to granbury and have cleaned closets out and found different items we no longer used. We have taken several loads to the boys and girls club here in granbury . The ladies working previous days and today have been unhelpful, and unappreciative. We will not go back! 9/30/21

So, if what I was told is true, we are big fans of the Boys & Girls Club of Hood County. What was I told? I was told all the proceeds from the resale shop stay in Hood County. We are somewhat new to Granbury, and are downsizing. We have a lot of things, in good condition, that we no longer need. Initially we were taking all our things to the Goodwill Store in Granbury. We told this to someone we met, and he said, "You know, not all of Goodwill's donations stay in Granbury?" I won't bog this review with all the info you can find by Googling Goodwill Industries, but they do give roughly 85% of the profits to their "charitable commitment." Also of interest is that the CEO makes (from the 2017 Form 990) as $598,300 with additional compensation of $118,927. Not bad. So we stopped taking things to Goodwill and now take all our donations to the B&G Club Resale shop. When we drop stuff off, the people are super friendly and helpful. We haven't had the chance to actually go in the shop yet, but we plan to that someday (not that we need anything). Bottom line: It feels good keeping things in the "Hood."

It's very messy and is lacking in employees. Lots and lots of broken items and unorganized. Jewelry is way over priced too

I'm a volunteer with the Relay For Life of Hood County and after a huge garage sale this year, we were able to drop off all unsold items to AfterSchool America (formerly the Boys & Girls Club resale shop). I called a week before our garage sale to see if they would be interested in our unsold goods and Veronica was super helpful. She explained what they could and couldn't accept and the best time to bring our items. The shop was busy when we arrived with our items but the receiving staffers helped us quickly unload. Thanks again!!

Jeff and his staff are always friendly, and keep the store clean and organized. I can always count on walking out with more than what I need, without spending alot of money. Love this place!
