My fiancé and I were hoping to use this beautiful resort as our wedding venue. However, communication and customer service from The Cliffs has been nothing short of a nightmare.
Shelby, the even coordinator, is virtually impossible to get ahold of. The phone number listed on the website is no good. If you try and call the front desk it often goes unanswered, and when someone finally does answer, they just transfer you to Shelby to leave a voice mail, which she may or may not feel like returning.
I reached out to the general manager, Kevin, to work together to find a solution so we could start planning our big day. It has been over a week, and I have not heard back from either Shelby or Kevin.
Unfortunately, the lack luster customer service and communication does not bode well for wedding planning and we have had to start our search elsewhere. I hope The Cliffs utilize this feedback to improve their systems so future couples and guest have a better time with wedding planning.

We were introduced this The Cliffs by a friend and now this is our favorite go to place, we love the lake, the golf course- away from the hustle bustle. We love the food at the clubhouse. Highly recommend!Safety: It’s a gated community, safe environment

This place is fantastic! Holds some of the most beautiful views and hidden gems of Texas. The food at the The Chaparral Grille is also amazing. The championship golf course offers some of the best in the South (especially from the #13 at sunset).

We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the villas, and they were very well appointed, and newly remodeled. We rented a boat slip for our boat, which was nice, since we didn't have to put our boat in the water and pull it out each day.The only down side was that we were not made aware that there is no boat trailer parking at the resort or the marina, and we had to drive back to the entrance of the resort and put our boat in a trailer parking area, unhook it and drive back to the resort. It wasn't a huge deal, but would have been nice for someone to explain this to us so we would have known to expect it.Rooms: Clean and updated.

Beautiful resort with everything you'd need. Also, it is a prime location on the Possum Kingdom lake. The restaurant is excellent---best food around for the most reasonable prices.

Extraordinary location on Possum Kingdom and looking out over the gorgeous Brazos River valley. One of the most beautiful resorts in the South with a golf course that is out of this world.

The service was horrible last night. Saw only two servers one of which was the bartender. They had 40 people total and were buried! Food was late getting out and cold, orders were late in getting taken and people were not being attended to. The two bartenders were beyond "snowed"'and this place has t even hit peak yet. They need seasoned bartenders and servers. In the meantime order beer and simple food to ensure the order remains uncomplicated. The old bartender "cristy" had left but she certainly knew how to run the place. They need to make vast improvements to make it through the "season"This place has a great location and typically great food and service but some hands on management is needed to "tighten up" the house
