My car broke down on the interstate on the way home from west Texas. Bill was kind enough to introduce us to a tow company and get our vehicle in his shop quickly.
Repair was fairly priced, and Bill was very transparent and gave great updates.
I hope to never have car issues in the future, but if I do, I’ll gladly drive to Gordon to use him again.

So on our way back to Oklahoma my car blew the temperature sensor out on a Sunday. I found this shop on google. He came to his shop and fixed it so we could make it home. He didn’t have to come on a Sunday. I would definitely use this shop again if needed and recommend him.

Everyone was so kind and helpful here! I was traveling from Abilene to the DFW area when a piece of metal started scraping from the bottom of my car in Thurber. These guys were nice enough to drive to me to check it out and lead me back to their shop. They fixed it for me very quickly, and as a young woman traveling alone I felt very safe and comfortable! Thank you guys so much for your kindness!

Bill is truly customer focused. We were having problems with the steering column on our 2000 corvette. We were unable to have the car towed to Gordon Auto so Bill made a special trip out to our house. He solved our problem and our car is back on the road. You seldom get that level of extra effort from businesses these days. Thanks Bill!

Professional. Affordable. Diligent.I noticed my engine block started to shake at an idle. Took it in to Bill he ran diagnostics and was able to identify a misfire in a cylinder. We discussed solutions, he replaced my spark plugs and wires and corrected my firing order. My '96 Explorer has run like a champ ever since. Bill was super kind and helpful, talk about southern hospitality! we got broke down right in Gordon with a leak and Bill was able to get our car the part we needed and get us back on our way and even give us a ride from the hotel we were staying at while we waited for the repairs over labor day!

Professional, fantastic service, fair pricing, quick turnaround time! Margaret was wonderful and took very good care of me. I waited while my service was performed on my Jeep. The waiting area is very clean and comfortable. From the waiting area, I could hear conversations between the techs regarding the current auto they were working on and the car's owners. I was so impressed with the level of professionalism, care and concern, each tech had for the car they were working on. They truly take ownership and pride in their work. Gordon Automotive is a gem and will be my only go-to for any car maintenance concerns! A+++

I am incredulous that the reviews swing so far apart from people with varying degrees of automotive experience. Each time I have taken a car in for repair, my opinion was treated with resepct, the repairs were completed in good time, I was offered options based on my budget, and even though I have repaired my own vehicles for decades, sometimes I just need a real shop to make it happen. I have been completely satisfied with Gordon Automotive. I don't know what fate has done to anyone else, or their vehicles, but I feel like I have a home to return to if I need real help with repairs.

These four/five star reviews are obviously from friends/family of the owner/employees. This is not a good business. This business deserves negative stars. I have been giving Gordons automotive my money for almost 30 years. They used to be an excellent automotive repair shop. I can honestly tell you to avoid this place.I can honestly tell you to avoid this place. I took my car in on Monday. The reason I took it in was because it had been cutting off as I was driving it. They didn't even contact me until Thursday when they told me to come pick it up. They had done absolutely nothing to my car and they charged me $156. They told me the technician had driven it an hour and a half and could not replicate the problem. When I got in the car I immediately became furious when I looked at the gas gauge, because the needle have not moved. It has the same amount of gas in it as when I had it towed there. We're talking about a V8 350 Chevy engine. You don't drive at 350 for an hour and a half without using gas. The needle on the gas gauge was exactly where it was the last time I had been in the car. No one drove that car for an hour and a half trying to replicate the problem... but also when the tow truck driver took my car we noted that the mileage. There have been less than 2 miles put on the car from the time the tow truck driver picked it up and towed it to Gordons. I had driven five minutes away from Gordons when the car cut off again. It cut off three times on the way home although I made it home. You can stand next to the car and tell her that the idling is off, if you're just a normal person, not a mechanic. No one at Gordons even checked my car out. The car had serious problems which were later repaired by real mechanics. Gordon's lied and they ripped off my money. Imagine treating a 30 year customer like this. I suffered greatly during the pandemic. I am the last person that these people should've ripped off. AVOID this place at all costs.

We got stranded on a long road trip and couldn’t get the car started again. Have a quick call and they were at the gas station in no time at all! Got us back on the road within minutes with directions on what we needed to do to completely fix our issue! 100% recommend

Bill was awesome. He came to us as our car had no power. He got us running to make it to his place if business. Worked with my car repair professional mufflers on 20th street Battle Creek mi. With them working together it was determined my alternator and labor was covered for replacement. Bill got us in the next morning and had us completed and on the road again in no time. I recommend if you are ever in need of car assistance and near Gordon TX to call Bill, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Bill

Bill did an engine exchange for me. Excellent work with a reasonable rate. He worked with the engine supplier for the warranty. Handled the receiving & shipping of the engine. Made sure all was right with my engine before saying it was done. Had a couple issues with my original accessaries that he resolved to make things function properly. My truck runs better than ever. Highly recommend his expertise for your auto repairs.
