Aztec Ford Goliad worked with me and made this deal possible. Jesse Maldonado salesman, Tim Montemayor General Sales Manager and Alvin Sherman General Manager were very patient and helpful and I got what I wanted.

We have discussed buying a truck for months and my husband finally found the one he wanted. Jesse made the process super easy for us. He was respectful of our time as well as our family. He made sure my kids were offered snacks and something to drink while we waited and were comfortable and didn’t need anything else. Everyone was nice, we will definitely be going back for our next purchase!

This is the first negative review I have ever left, but it’s my only recourse so here goes. I purchased a ‘23 Ford Tremor from Aztec back on 6/20. I live 7 hours from the dealership so much of the deal was done remotely. I was assured by both the sales person and the manager (Tim) that this truck was in near perfect condition. Pictures and video looked great. Carfax was clean. The first red flag came when I got the deal sheet. I was told (and it was advertised) that the truck had 6k miles on it. But when I got the deal sheet it showed 9,600 miles. Apparently the general manager had been driving it for 2 months and nobody knew? Tim did take a little off the price so I went ahead and consummated the deal. Everything seemed fine until I took the truck to get leveled at a dealership in Lubbock. When they got it on the lift the service manager called me and said there was a problem. He asked where this truck had been. He then sent me pictures of what can only be described as a significant amount of corrosion on the underside of the truck (axils, shocks, etc.). He told me the only way this could happen to an almost new truck is if it had been sitting in salt water for an extended period of time. And the only time he had ever seen anything close to this was on an older vehicle that came from up north where they regularly put salt on the roads. It was bad enough that they didn’t feel comfortable performing the service for fear there was structural damage. On 7/1 I called Tim and sent him the pictures. He was in complete agreement that this was a big problem and the truck should have never been sold in that condition. He assured me of two things; they would make it right and I would hear from the service manager (Kyle) by the end of the day. 7/2 - had not heard from anybody. Contacted Tim. He again assured me. 7/3 - same thing. 7/8 - I call and simplify ask for Kyle’s number. I call Kyle and again he says all of the right things. He assures me it will be taken care. He said he just needed to talk the the GM. And then he said “if it’s the last thing I do today, I will call you back.” That was on 7/8. I have not heard from anybody since that date. I have called Kyle no less than 10 times. I have left messages. I have had the operator put a note on his desk. I have had him paged. Nothing. Aside from the obvious issues stated above, I was told by the dealership in Lubbock as well as a body shop I took it to that every used car that comes to a dealership will have an inspection done. And they both said if this truck was inspected then these issues would have been easily uncovered. So either a) it was never inspected or b) it was inspected and they willfully chose not to disclose the issues. Neither is acceptable. I have included one of the pictures that was sent to me (and both Tim and Kyle have seen).

Purchase was seamless until the final signing. Finance manager demanded we accept three unnecessary things. Extended windshield protection, extra paint protection policy, and extra tire protection policy/ nitrogen. They would not back down from this. He told us he almost got fired by the owners on a previous sale for not pushing it on the customers. It plainly states on all three policies that it is not a requirement to purchase these policies. The windshield policy also states that there are three parts to,of which we were only given one. The purchase price of these policies was $1500. I would have rather paid $3000, and not have been lied to and paid $1500 for unnecessary policies. No, for that reason, I would not recommend this dealership.
As a follow up. The dealership did contact me and offered to refund for the policies discussed above. I did accept the offer and will now say this is a great dealership. Thanks to the manager, “Alvin”.

Hey, it is a dealership. Expect to drop off the car and wait for days. That is my experience at dealerships everywhere, from Texas to Michigan, from South Carolina to California. Prices are reasonable. Services performed are good to average. People are personable. But the fact that particular technicians only work at this facility on Mondays and Fridays means, depending on when you drop off your car, 2 days of work could take 7 plus days. My experience on 2 vehicles for relatively minor items was 2.25 weeks per vehicle in April 2024. In 2023 and 2022 repairs were under 1 week for simple and or normal services. Apparently, recruiting quality full-time technicians in little Goliad is becoming harder. I hold no hardship toward the personnel. This phenomenon is not in their direct control. It's the changing demographics. Good service, reasonable prices...be patient. My old CEO used to say, "Price, quality, and time...pick two. You cannot have all three."
