Loved our stay here at the bootleg cabin! Loved getting away for our 12 year anniversary just the 2 of us. we enjoyed grilling in the back patio, the hot tub, the walk in the creek, visiting the horses in the stalls next to the cabin, and just the atmosphere of the cabin itself! Perfect way to celebrate and definitely plan to return again!

Amazing weekend getaway and so close to Dallas yet it feels like you are in a Ranch far away from everything. My daughter loved walking on the river, finding fossils and she learned to skip stones. The owner David (Dentist) is great and working in the ranch over the weekends. There are people that board their horses here its so beautiful, the scenery and the bottle legger cabin great for a small family or couple. Went during COVID, very clean and all protocols in place! Perfectly built and the jacuzzi WOW!! The view in the back porch completely gorgeous. David purchased a brand new grill for us we grilled the best steak and veggies, enjoyed the string lights in porch. We loved our stay very much just wish we could have ridden horses. Highly reccomend this cabin to anyone that wants to escape and not drive far from DFW area.

We LOVE Stone Canyon Ranch! The owner, David is amazing and takes the time to ensure everyone is happy on his ranch. The cabins are historically accurate yet modern day comforts are everywhere. This peaceful, quiet ranch seems hours away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas yet it's not. What a great local place!

My husband and I booked the Bootlegger's Shack, which is anything but a shack. Very well-done in a rustic style with modern amenities. There's a cute kitchen with everything you need, and the sinks have washtub basins - very creative. In the bath, the large walk-in shower has 2 shower heads and good water pressure. There's a front and back porch, with a private hot tub on the back porch. We got a great night's sleep because they have a very comfortable king-size bed. We wanted to get away from the city and do some star-watching. This place is right on a creek, lots of land - so it's very quiet and the night sky was lovely! The couple who manage the property met us when we drove up to the gate and led us to the cabin, showed us around and were very nice. David, the owner, was wonderful and very responsive to our reservation request. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I stayed in the Civil War Cabin for a long weekend getaway and absolutely loved it!We live in DFW and wanted a getaway that was close but we didnt want to feel the hustle and bustle of the city. This place was EXACTLY that. As soon as you turn on the dirt road towards the cabin, you forget the city is so close as the trees and ranch suck you in. We felt very isolated and the peace and quiet was amazing. We loved how the owners allowed us to walk around the ranch and go exploring. The creek was low enough to walk the shores and we even found shell fossils! Very cool. The horses were very friendly and came up to us at the fence while we roamed around. The cabin is uniquely decorated with old muskets, rifles, and civil war uniforms for a very rustic feel. There are even arrows shot into the front of the cabin to make it feel like it was attacked! The back of the cabin had a nice firepit with plenty of dry wood to make a fire. The grill was very nice, clean, and there was more than enough propane to last the weekend. There are also old farm tractors laying around the ranch to add to the rustic ranch look.10/10 we would visit again.

Loved our stay at the Civil War Cabin here! The property is well kept, peaceful, and quiet. It was a great get away destination for us. Only 40 minutes from our home in Arlington, but felt miles away. Definitely will be back.
