I was a lone female traveler and felt very safe at this location. Hosts were very communicative, the bed was super comfortable, and the location was walking distance to parks, restaurants and shopping. I hope to come back here soon.

We enjoyed our stay. The owners are great people and enjoy sharing information about the area. The rooms are very nice and well maintained with some really nice views. The location is great and is right down the road from downtown. We will definitely be staying there when we return to the area.

Ron and Melissa are excellent hosts. They make sure you are taken care of and go out of their way to make you feel right at home. Rooms are clean and each has its own theme. This unique one of a kind property is within walking distance from downtown, which is full of life and fun places to visit. The reviews say it all, if you stay at Live Oak you won't be disappointed!

11/10! We stayed one weekend here in the Silver Dollar room. In our few days in Glen Rose, we did all the local attractions, but honestly I’d be just as happy if I came here with nothing to do! It’s the coziest home with five separate rooms. Lots of shared amenities like a living room, balcony, kitchen, dining room, game room, patio with hot tub. The owner was so kind and welcoming!Pros: Affordability AND homemade breakfast included every morning; location within walking distance of downtown with so much to do; climate-controlled room with all linens, soaps, etc. provided.Cons: You’re staying in a house with potentially four other rooms with guests, but if you ask me, it’s neat to meet and talk with other people during your stay!My favorite parts were: the hot tub and lighted patio; their friendly chickens nearby; the 24/7 tea and coffee bar; and never being bored!

We booked a night here as part of what we called our Mini Dinosaur Vacation, the selling point was definitely the four very large dinosaurs that live on property!This was my first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast. We had our whole crew on hand (5) and there was plenty of room for all of us in our spacious room. There was a king bed, a bunk bed with a full and a twin as well as a cot we didn’t use in the closet. The room was so big none of this was cramped with room for also a chair, a dresser, a desk and a table with two chairs as well!It was so easy to find and our detailed check in instruction packet with keys were left at the entrance for us. Super simple process and we were quickly in our room getting settled. We had just been in the hot sun for hours so it was great to get in a cool down as we changed and got ready to go sight see some more around town.It is SO conveniently located right in the center of town next to all the things to do! Right down the street from the town square and a quick hop over to the main highway.Our room was beautiful and very clean. It had everything we needed and MORE! We had our own in room bathroom that was also fully stocked and very clean. They provide soap, conditioner and shampoo in the shower as well as other essentials and luxury items!The rest of the interior of the house had a rustic county theme throughout. It was also immaculately clean and welcoming. The kitchen had complimentary fruit and waters for the guests.The game room was a little disappointing for me only because when I combed over photos of the property I was so excited to see the neat Creature From the Black Lagoon pinball machine and statuette as well as the air hockey table but alas neither were on premises at the time of our visit. No big deal but—ugh! Lol Maybe someone broke them? Didn’t get a chance to ask. There were tons of books and toys for kids to enjoy, a piano and an foosball table. There is also a bathroom in the game room!We walked all around the property and it’s gorgeous! Be sure to say hi to the chickens who provide the eggs for your breakfast!The teenagers loved the hot tub and chillaxing in it after visiting big rocks park and before going to dinner. It was well maintained and very clean. The covered outdoor area it was in was very nice with plenty of seating/tables.Breakfast was at 8:30am which was great for our early entry to Fossil Rim. The food was delicious and the teenagers were full after!We would definitely stay here again if the occasion arises again!

We did not reserved on time, all other hotels were booked and I’m glad that happened! Beautiful house and very comfy super clean and cozy. Within walking distance of downtown Glen Rose plus, Mrs. Mel told us the actives happening! We felt welcomed, also the breakfast was delicious, I will come back and this will be our staying place for sure! Loved it!! ?
