“I would give five because they are a great story and I’ve been coming here since I was a kid but the amount of sun that comes through that window and just blinds the employees the whole time they have to sit there and check people out is ridiculous And it’s definitely not right they need some sort of tent on that window or something that blocks the sun because it is blinding to those cashiers when I come up to pay it’s blinding for the short time. I’m there and I can deal with that because it’s a short time, but the cashiers have to deal with it all day pretty much and that’s ridiculous”

Only grocery in Glen Rose. Most of the associates were friendly and helpful. Item I thought should have been available in a country town were not. I asked butcher about smoked jowls for beans. He left me belittled that I didn't think salted jowls were good enough. He didn't think the smoke flavoring was important.

Otherwise, everyone else I approached for help was friendly and helpful.

We understood the cost differences of big city shopping versus small town. I do know that with the variety of city stores and sales prices vs. the supreme overhead of the country groceries, we paid twice as much as city groceries. Proteins for sure must be planned for the trip.
