Overpriced food that's on the verge of expiration.
Constantly bringing stuff home and finding out that it expires in the next day or two. I know what you're thinking... Check the labels, but I've never had this problem at any other store. They don't know how to rotate their stock properly.
This store went downhill after the revamp. I shop at Walmart exclusively now. Which is a shame since it's almost an hour round trip but at least I'm not buying expired expensive trash

The staff was friendly, the store was clean and orderly but the prices were gouging. I feel bad for the locals; this company is clearly taking advantage of their position! Even with those saving cards where you put in your phone number etc.

We are RVers.Only grocery in Glen Rose. Most of the associates were friendly and helpful. Item I thought should have been available in a country town were not. I asked butcher about smoked jowls for beans. He left me belittled that I didn't think salted jowls were good enough. He didn't think the smoke flavoring was important.Otherwise, everyone else I approached for help was friendly and helpful.We understood the cost differences of big city shopping versus small town. I do know that with the variety of city stores and sales prices vs. the supreme overhead of the country groceries, we paid twice as much as city groceries. Proteins for sure must be planned for the trip.Overall, Brookshire's Glen Rose is a good place

Great grocery store. Priced a little higher than I would like but conveniently located close to me so it's a trade off. The fresh bread is good, meat quality is good plus they offer some good sales weekly.
