All you other reviewers talking about how great this place is have obviously never been to a REAL grocery store before. Not only is everything here overpriced compared to everywhere else, but the selection is HORRIBLE!!! They ought to be ashamed of what they call their produce section!!! I mean it is just ABYSMAL!!!!!! I know this a small town but this is just ridiculous. I dread going grocery shopping for how disappointed I will be to find that I will just endup making another trip to Bastrop or Elgin later in the day to visit a REAL grocery store (H-E-B) or worse yet, Wal-mart (ick!) to get the things I really need.
TLDR: they have a very, VERY basic assortment of some stuff but if you are looking for anything beyond bare bones staples, look elsewhere. At least the people that work there are nice (only redeeming quality)

Love Brookshire Brothers. The have everything you would want in a grocery store and a deli also. Their Fuel prices are always low. Great place.

People are great- but honestly, the prices are ridiculous for a very small Texan town. Not many vegan or vegetarian options either.
