The work that Next Stop Moving & Storage did on my move was superb. The team was efficient and thoughtful in how they handled my belongings. This company takes shady to the next level, and then some. I did like many people would, I suppose, and I reached out for movers in my area through a Google search. I was contacted by about 15+ companies but I thought that next stop sounded reasonably good, at first, somehow not seeing all the negative reviews. My story is a painful one...our point of contact took our rough inventory and quoted us $8K for a cross country move, which was for 1300 cu/ft. I was told upon signing the contract that I could request a QA review (this is how they determine the size of your move) any time and as many times as I would like. They NEVER responded to my repeated requests for the QA review, and I knew that they were planning on bringing a "large box truck" that could hold our 1300 cuft and "a little more". I began getting nervous the week of the move and was unable to reach anyone at the company all the way up until the day before our move. So it's Friday morning, we are supposed to be picked up the following morning, and I call the main number again...a person answers...omg! She says, "Hey is this Jon?" And I say "Yes it is"...she says, give me one minute, I will cal you right back. And she hangs up...no chance for me to respond. I wait an hour and then start calling again, I call about 15 times from both mine and my wife's phone, only to have it ring for minutes on end with no answer. It's 4pm, no QA review, a vehicle that can't handle our move...and I had spoken to another mover who said, well call us if "things get weird" (actual wording he used!!) so I did. I told the lady about what they had said and done and she told me that they were going to take us for a ride...she did our inventory and it was 4x the size they had quoted and once we were into the move with them, we would be stuck...no getting out...and they could take us for a ride on the price as well. So we had no QA, which they were contractually obligated to provide no less than 4 days prior to the move, and they had not responded to our calls, or emails...and we could not be sure they were even still in business. So we emailed once more notifying them of our cancellation of the move with them and we called the CC company(Capital One) and disputed the charge. The finally contacted us at 8pm to provide the QA review and confirm our pickup time, and then harassed us for the next several days including threats to take us to court of we attempted to dispute the charge. We paid $1800 to be left in the lurch by this company, and that was the less expensive option. Had we gone with them, I can only imagine how horrible our move would have gone. Please tell your friends and family, and neighbors, and anyone willing to listen...this place is a SCAM!!! Do not let them take your money! You will not get it back, even if they don't provide you with ANY LEVEL of service! I will be posting all of my documentation once my PII is redacted, so that it is available for all to see...this will include the original contract, the bill of lading, the two responses I received to requests for the QA review after signing the contract, as well as the text and email messages sent to us threatening legal actions against us. This is not just my word or me complaining because something could have been better, this is a real life horror story that significantly impacted my family and I, so I will be sharing the documented proof of how shady this company and the people who work there actually are, and hopefully, it will save some folks the hardship that we went through. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will continue to post the details of my experience wherever I can.

This was a complicated move in that I have a lot of glass furniture **************** tops), pictures, & mirrors. Everything was well protected with blankets and boxing including piano, beds, sofas, chairs, tables etc. I have found no damage. Some large pieces of furniture had to be taken apart, putting it back together was a complicated puzzle which was done well.

If I could give minus 1000 stars, I would. If you value your sanity, stay far away from this company. They quoted me $6200 and when all was said and done, the quote DOUBLED. It took them several hours to get back to me on two separate days and the lady who did the final inventory had screaming kids in the background the entire time. She messed up on the inventory so badly I had to work with another rep (who wasn't any better). I finally told them to leave me alone and I went with a different company. It pushed off my moving date and cost me money to stay in my apartment a bit longer but I learned to stay away from bait and switch companies like Next Stop Moving. They rob you of time and money.

I had a wonderful experience. They were incredibly careful, accommodating and very friendly. The team was also very helpful in carrying my items up to the third level. I had a very smooth moving experience. It was a very positive experience. They were super efficient, punctual, careful and friendly. I was impressed that the whole thing took less time than I expected. The staff have all been an absolute pleasure to deal with.
