I came to the store to get some Easter things. They have a very good display of Easter things, I bought a wreath. Many places throughout the store is an advertisement on 25% off sale including sale items. It's on every shopping cart, on the wall and various places throughout the store. I bought four items. And the checkout line was quick and the sales clerk checked me out promptly. I then looked at my receipt and I did not see anything on sale. I said "is this 25% off? " And the sales associate said, "do you have the coupon?". He then told me to step aside so he could wait on the next person and then he would return everything I had and I would have to obtain the coupon online and then he would re-ring me up. The lady behind me was very gracious and said, "you can finish her up." So I went online for the coupon. He returned my items and rang them up with 25% off. I apologized to the lady behind me and told her "with the advertisement everywhere throughout the store, I didn't know I had to go online and get a coupon", she said "the same with me." I had the shopping cart in front of the sales associate that said 25% off everything including sale items. You'd think the sales associate would've said something instead of just letting me pay 25% more for all my items, and not saying a word If the sale wasn't advertised in so many places throughout the store, and on the shopping cart, I would not feel this way. The lady behind me had to go on and get the coupon, or she was going to have the same experience as me, depended upon if she checked her receipt before she left the store! I find this to be deceptive, implying that everyone's gonna get 25% off, BUT then when they don't go online and get the coupon they don't get 25% off. Not everyone checks their receipt before they leave the store like I did. It's very misleading.

Always the perfect store.Only wish the didn't take away the class in store. Hard to want to buy expensive items when I don't have that person in person to show it's uses

Placed an online order for custom framing and followed instructions for dropping off the art to be framed. Website quoted 10 business days for completion. Store could not find order in the system and said it would be 14 days before they would even receive parts to begin working on it.

everything’s good and great selection. My current cat would tear down a Christmas tree so I got creative and only spent like $15 on this tree.

2.5 There's nothing wrong with this store per se but I've been to better-stocked locations. Still, though you can't go wrong with the clearance sales. There are some cool things to be found here. However, if you're looking for amazing deals the clearance sections at Hobby Lobby after the holidays are far better.

One star is too much, no stars would have been more appropriate for the manner in which my family has been treated the past two encounters in store. Walking in to Michael's, you usually feel welcomed, which was not the case when I entered with my two children and husband. An older female staff member with glasses and the Micheals uniform vest looked at us up and down as we walked in, and walked away. Her demeanor was very irritable and unwelcoming. Which was telling, given we could not find anyone when we needed assistance throughout our 20 min visit. It almost gave the impression that avoiding customers was going to be the trend. The last time encounter we had was when I asked my husband to pick up an order I made online. He was unfamiliar with the process and asked the younger female staff member with glasses at the counter, and the answer he recieved with a very condescending and rude answer of "its on the side". When he tried to retrieve the order to some locker on the side, the staff member raised her voice, yelling "Sir, do not touch that. I will ask some one to help you", embarrassing my husband in front of the other customers. He told her he did not understand her the first time, so yestThen she made it a point to repeat herself, attempting to belittle my husband further.Since then, we've made it a point to drive to the Round Rock location, where we have never felt any sort of hostility or demeaning behavior towards my husband or I, with or without children. There needs to mandatory customer service retraining, maybe even retraining on working with people of diverse backgrounds. Very disappointed, and we will never go back to this location, especially after they belittled my husband.

I visited Michael’s at Wolf Ranch tonight, like I had done other times without a problem. There was a young man with a beret walking around with a cart (an employee) who was eating food while walking around with the cart, presumably putting things back on the shelf. He was wiping his hands on his apron but still getting crumbs and grease everywhere, especially on the items he was restocking/putting back. He was also rude when I asked a question and stated that a sign said something that it in fact did not say.I’ve had a great experience here otherwise, but this individual needs to learn some etiquette.

Good place for arts and crafts. Lacking in some areas that are fulfilled by theircompetitors (HL). Custom picture framing is waaaay overpriced. It’s a “craft” store. For those kind of prices on the frames. as a woodworker and craftsman I have decided to “craft” my own frames. I am recommending to all Michael’s customers that have the crafting skills and abilities to create your own frames. Another option is to buy a prefab frame and modify it to give it your own personal touch.
