Well.. I would like to start by saying, I love Dollar General it is my first choice of store, especially with food selection, really so convenient. Also I love that y'all now have green tea bags, great Move!! Thank you.. Now, maybe my expectations are a little high coming from store 12650 where Will and Jennifer and the crew are swift with problem solving and super quick to help, friendly and have exceptional customer service down in Nolanville, Tx. So to be fair I believe the person who checked me out was new and did not really know what to do.. Really not sure, she wasn't rude, she was nice but did not know how to solve the problem. Which was Arm and Hammer that showed on the shelf on sale from 5 dollars to 3.95 then 2.95 with 1 dollar coupon. Which I never found the coupon. Which after leaving store made me think it could have possibly been an old sale label still up??? The person who checked me out could not confirm if coupon was used or not she kept saying I can't tell because it's so many discounts. I asked her to come look at label maybe I have wrong product, she went with me we look she said I did and we got the simply arm and hammer but ran into same issue. At that point the teller was lost and had no resolution other than me to pay the 5 bucks or take it off. So was just stuck and the manager or other lady at the time, was of no assistance either. She came over and tried to see what was going on but half listen due to the line building up and said, just ring that item up by itself if she is saying issue with price so you don't hold the line up ?? What I found weird was when I first came up with my basket full of stuff and the other lady was helping customer, the lady decided it was perfect time to go check for basket outside??? I let a guy who had only a card in front of me check out and this lady still was not back in the store. Anyway, i stated how does that help by ringing it up separately if price still going to be 5 bucks when label say sale 3.95??? So I say to teller, you seen price for your self can you just over ride she say that s not what she is telling me to do. So, at this point I am frustrated because don't want to leave store without it but also don't want to feel like the difficult customer holding the line up, but my bill was already 122. Something of course I want to save. So finally after they said multiply times discount shows at the end, which it was the end if we can see the other coupons taking off. I strolled and seen it was 5 bucks no sale price underneath. So finally the other lady comes over and say I will just do override. Me frustrated says, that should have been first solution once she went back with me and saw for herself the sale price. That statement, Clearly, offended the lady that came over to help as she say I am trying to help and accommodate you. ( what, Huh) Then when finished she says sarcastically, Is that all you need from me is a price override. Then I say yea, thank you so very much.. However, not sure what she meant by that, but how is matching your prices on the shelf accommodating me?? Secondly, all I need is for you to have is good customer service. I did nothing wrong but was made as a complicated customer holding up the line ( which it did grow) for something that was not my fault. You should have seen her demeanor when she said, I am trying to accommodate you?? How?? Its your price not ringing up right, I just want the price I seen on the shelf??. Never, felt so disrespected in my life, I wanted to say something other than, thank you but held my tongue. I originally, came out my door to get my food items from HEB, but once inside Dollar general, I said, You know what, just going to get my food from here as well. However, to experience what I did today, was very disappointing, I have went to many and never been talked to like this.. On another note, love your products, love this store, sorry for bad review, but MOST IMPORTANTLY, THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE TO SERVICE THE COMMUNITY, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. ( smiles)

This location was open when everyone else was closed. The clerk who came all the way from Liberty Hill was kind enough to let us in at 7:45 ish when she was trying to close down just so we could get some groceries for the next few days. Thank you thank you ??

Can't get anybody to answer the phone! Called all day yesterday-- and is today going to be like this again? I may have been exposed to COvid 19 from the Cashier at the I-95 Store Tues night, 11/17. He was coughing profusely, & looked sick. I would like him to take the Rapid COvid test, & call us back. We are elderly, & at risk. 361-688-4035.
