“Every HEB should have a Gary. This kind gentleman went over and beyond customer service ?. My husband and I stopped off for a refreshing drink during a trip to Conroe. We couldn't find unsweetened tea at the registers' grab n go coolers. We stopped Gary who was already helping another customer and asked him for a location on unsweetened tea. He gladly went on a hunt for the beverage and was able to find the tea for us. He offered complimentary cups, but to no avail couldn't find anything in the break area. He went to his coffee station and dug around until he was able to retrieve 2 cups for us. Gary is a very personable individual and made sure that we were taken care of. He connected with us as if he knew us. He befriended us on the spot. Thank you for having such a great person as Gary as your employee at your Gatesville HEB. We appreciate Gary and we love HEB ❤️”

“Location: 9630 S. State Hwy 36, Gatesville, Texas 76528. Parking is plentiful, parking lot clean. People ordering at the food trailer, on the edge of the parking lot. Store entrance is clean and free of clutter.A pleasant, subtle clean scent upon entering the store. The tall owner/manager and her lady cashier pleasantly welcome as I enter.I came back asking a question, they immediately pause their conversation and are attentive and helpful. The store manager took care to walk me through all the areas that offered different kinds of wipes (the item I’m looking for).The manager also showed me the $1 aisle, where I found lots of bargains on products I use, and some for my elderly mother.The store was clean and organized. I have marked this location as my all-time favorite and will stop in whenever traveling through. This is without a doubt the nicest Dollar General I have ever been to — Highly Recommend!”

“I just came home, after getting groceries. I was using a motorized cart and when I was wheeling up to the register, this bundle of energy , named Ashlynn I believe, came up and started unloading my basket. She then helped sack everything and all the while, she was making me laugh. She then offered to load my groceries into my car. She was such a breathe of fresh air and made me in a much happier mood, even though I was already in a good mood. I just wanted you to hear something positive instead of all negative comments. “I wanted to share my experience in reference to this gas station with an employee by the name of Michael. He was a kind hearted gentleman, always polite to the patrons and he’s always got something nice to say. I have stopped here multiple times during a recent move up to Brown County. I didn’t always need fuel or sundries, but I stopped here because of how I was treated. Michael actually bought me a cup of coffee after I’d offered to pay for the police officer’s purchase. Unfortunately the police officer had to leave due to a call, but that didn’t stop Mike from buying me that cup of coffee. He simply stated to me that he thought it was rare that people were supporting the police and that they needed to be supported and cherished. I found this perspective of this young man to be more than rare. When I am going through Gatesville on Highway 36 I will always be stopping here. The pumps are easily accessible especially with long trailers, the pumps are always clean, the windshield washers are full and the bathroom is clean. The muffins are fresh and the drinks are cold and you will be amazed at how nicely you are treated here at a gas station and that makes this review warranted.”

“I am physically challenged and the aisles were clear and easy to maneuver through. Some items were not in reach, but the staff and managers were very courteous and considerate in assisting with my shopping. Very professional and friendly atmosphere.”
