I was banking with Woodforest since 2011. This review is not really towards this specific branch but Woodforest as a whole and specifically my experience with customer service through phone when I traveled to Rio de Janeiro on August 3rd and 4rth. Firstly, I don't recommend people to choose this bank or small ones because their cards don't tap, they don't have very many branches, and if you want to take out money without getting a fee you have to do it within 6am to 10pm, when it's respective Walmart is open. Second, I forgot to tell Woodforest I was traveling to Rio so when they blocked my card, I ran out of money on my Wellsfargo card, and I was running low on reais (Brazil's currency) I decided to call customer service so they would unblock it. After going through approximately 7-10 operators (one hung up, another gave me a fake number to call, one manager even said he had limited time to talk to me and had to transfer me to on hold hell) and finally answering all of there stupid security questions correctly (I was beyond nervous and furious at this point) from when I originally opened the account in 2011, I was never successful in unblocking my card with the last excuse being "there's nothing wrong on our end it's just Uber is having a problem with MasterCard" (I don't believe this for a second). Thank you Woodforest for giving me the worst customer service experience of my life and caring about the fact I could have been stuck in Rio with no money or way to pay for Uber. I don't want a bogus sorry about your experience will you tell us more about your experience response, I want someone to hear the calls I made within August 3rd and 4th and explain to me why a customer had to talk to 7 to 10 representatives (some managers), two different departments and never get his card unblocked even after successfully answering all of your stupid security questions. The last girl I talk to told me her name was Raven from Fraud something department, she sounded very happy as I struggled with the situation when I called her the second time. I’ve been with Woodforest since 2012. I started my journey with Woodforest in ANGLETON TX. Been to ALOT of these banks across the nation and found Antoinette in Garland. She’s moved a few times but I appreciate her service to the customers so immensely that I follow where she goes. Antionette and her team are SUPER Customer Service Agents!
