Hard working gentlemen. Arnold gave me an estimate, scheduled a day to leave my son's suv, left it that appointed day for about 5 hours and Wow was all I could say!! It looked like a new car. Yes, this is a group of gentlemen that make one feel as though they are family or have known you for years. In that mindset, I decided to try them out as I was new to the community. I wanted to support a "small business" that is owned by someone who is FROM the community and not a franchise.
They were very attentive to my needs and wants as it related to the care of my auto. Occasionally serving as a ride-share provider, I must be assured that it is in the best cleaned, smelling good, comfortable condition for the general public.
Where my issue lies, is that I was quoted 2 different prices for service of detailing. The categories, according to them, was detailing inside vs. detailing outside or both. $50 to clean the seats, dashboard, windows all inside only or, $130 if I wanted to "add" the outside -- waxing, buffing, rims, tires, etc. I had another appointment to go to so told them I would not be able to stay an extended period of time.
They therefore assessed that I could pretty much get away with NOT a thorough outside detailing -- just a basic "car wash." I definitely needed the inside detailing of the seats being that that was the focus of heavy cleaning. I had a decent clean car anyway because of my job. So, I requested the inside service and a quick wash-over, no waxing of the vehicle or thorough cleaning of the rims, etc. I discussed with the manager I would be charged $50 plus a wash-over. Bottomline, at the most, $60/$65 altogether.
When they were done, the car looked "okay." I proceeded to the front desk to pay. I was told the total was $130. This was surprising to me! Again, in trying to support a small business, I asked if the outside had been done with total waxing etc. That was stated in the affirmative. I left the establishment feeling baffled and a little "put-out" but, had been there over an hour and a-half and needed to get to the other side of town.
Upon leaving I pulled over to inspect it further (wasn't the best job) but, discovered that an item was no where to be found that was always in the car. So I called to ask if they had seen it on the floor or anywhere in the car. I was told no.
Needless to state, I was and, still am upset about what had transpired. The particular item had been in my family for years. I was very disappointed and discouraged over the chain of events. Bottomline, I will never utilize that establishment again nor will I EVER recommend their service to anyone, especially family.
