I have been an interstate/ international traveler since the early 90s and never in all of those years have I experienced such subpar service and amenities at a hotel as I did at the Quality Inn in Garland. I was charged $120 (at least) for the 2 nights I stayed at the facility and $100 dollars for a security deposit. I am seeing these rooms now being listed for as little as $53 but the group rate of $70 I was quoted mysteriously could not be honored. I found it not so funny that check in wasn’t until 3 pm but my card was charged by 12noon. If I hadn’t had to take an early flight because of a northeastern snow storm, perhaps I would not have been so early. Upon entering my room, the toilet had plumbing issues, there was no iron, the hair dryer didn’t work and roaches and spiders apparently wanted to share the room with me. Finding it even less funny, there was a power outage on day two from 5am until 2pm in 23 degree temperatures. You would think staff would notify the guests about what was going on (maybe knock on doors to let know what was going on????) But no… Apparently, I should have offered some grace to the Quality Inn for all my trivial inconveniences while the same Quality Inn offered me no grace in consideration of honoring quoted prices, travel distance and weather conditions. Also, it’s probably not a good idea to work at a hotel if honest critique of your establishment causes a temper tantrum and staff members who solicit cash deposits (see Ron Hamilton’s review) make the establishment seem “sketchy”. I would hope that Choice Hotels would disassociate from Quality Inn with the same fervor as the Quality Inn Garland staff have denounced association with Choice Hotels. It’s disgraceful to charge guests more than $50 for lodging at the Garland property. Potential quest should read each review carefully before booking.

BEWARE!!!! This Hotel and staff do not honor policy! i booked a room weeks in advanced. I canceled within the cancelation time frame and I was still charged. Expedia agreed that I was wrongfully charged and tried for weeks to get my refund. They refused even with proof that I should have not been charged. I called trusting that it was a simple mistake and was rudely told that I would not get a refund by a woman that awnsered the call at the hotel. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL OR STAFF WITH YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION, I do not recommend ever giving this establishment a credit card number they are not trust worthy. CROOKS!!!

It was midrange for price $80 convenience of being very close to I30 . But the traffic noise is loud. I did get some sleep. One room had hair in the bed and they had to get fresh sheets, our room was clean. Appears to be updated. Easy to get to if you're traveling West on 30 . But if you're going East then it's a little tricky in the night and not good parking if you're towing something. The breakfast was very minimal coffee ,cereal, yogurt, waffle maker.Safety: Felt it was safeNoteworthy details: Parking is good as long as you are in a single car or truck. If you're towing it's not going to go well

Looked like new flooring was install but no one took into consideration that the bathroom door now scrapes the floor. The toilet ran all night long.

I have seen Tony, the Guest Relations Manager, go above and beyond for the guests that stay here multiple times. Tony, all by himself, makes staying at this property the obvious choice in the immediate area. He is hard to miss as he works all the time seemingly!

Barbara at the front desk is a total old scab. She makes the hotel look bad. I'm in many hotels with Quailty a week. She's the WORSE I've ever had contact with.. She said she was the manager.. they need a new one

We stayed 2 weeks. And it was comfortable and clean. Pool was taken care of. Grounds are CLEAN.. SERVICE IS GREAT.Rooms: Our room was clean. Beds fresh. Tub was nice and clean.Safety: We have about 30k in tools in our truck, NOTHING WAS EVER MESSED WITH . NOTHING STOLEN.

Stayed there Sunday, September 10th, 2023. Weird check in. Gave them a $100 cash security deposit because I was told it could take up to 14 days for the deposit to be refunded had I used my credit card. At checkout, they send housekeeping to your room to ensure you didn't break or steal anything, I suppose, and if all goes well, they give your your $100 cash back. Weird and clunky process.Now, the room: BUGS!! I found a dead cockroach in the bathtub, which, granted, is better than a live cockroach. What killed the roach? Perhaps the many of other small roach-looking alive bugs in the room. Population control? Only the bugs know for sure. I killed 4 of the little guys and counted 3 more that I didn't get to. Surely there were more. I feel halfway ripped off. It seems like the bugs should pay part of the room charge. See pics for the dead roach and for an example of the many small bugs. Worst experience with this hotel. Don’t let these people scam you. Once you pay for your stay you’re forced to pay a extra $100 fee otherwise you loose your money. If i had known this I would’ve just gotten a nicer hotel. Don’t cheap out here, spend the extra money & go to a better hotel. Such scam artists

Where to begin...the room was clean or at least appeared that way.. there were stains on the top bed cover...the water facet is like a pressure washer. It sprays everywhere. The 1st morning we went down for breakfast and all that was available was bran flakes and waffles, only problem the milk was on the brink of being soured. So we chose not to eat breakfast there anymore. That evening when we returned to the room the bed was made but they forgot to add toilet tissue back on the roll or empty the garbage. We also noticed a very large burn area on the comforter that goes between the sheets and the top cover. The next evening when we returned to the room they hadn't even cleaned the room or made the bed period. We had to go to the front desk and ask for clean towels, wash rags, toilet tissue and coffee. I was relieved the last night we stayed the room was cleaned properly and they actually changed the burned comforter. Only problem was the ice machine quit working the last night we were there. I would never stay here again. The people at the front desk were friendly, but the total experience was terrible. It was just one thing after another.

I had some unexpected car problems while staying here, and the owner actually brought her own car around so the maintenance man could give me a jump. The front office staff were friendly and kind. I've stayed here a number of times over the years, and I love it because it's right on the lake. They helped me figure out how to use Uber so I could go out to eat on the 2 days I was without a car. Even with the problems, I had a very pleasant stay.

Honestly, anybody going here can tell this is a cheap hotel. Cheap hotels generally have issues, but some are better than others. The first room we got smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, Annie, the awesome front desk clerk promptly got us switched into a different room. That room was clean and had no problems. She did went above and beyond with that and being friendly/helpful and taking care of everyone during the breakfast rush. She’s a great employee and we look forward to coming back. Again this is a cheap hotel with cheap hotel issues but I think it was a great bang for the buck, has a good location, and great service.

Rooms were spacious.Nice, clean pool and ice machine close to the pool. Non smoking rooms.The manager was rude and mean at checkout. We were prepaid at a sister hotel for a couple more days, but we got moved to this one and they came at 11:00 a.m. and told us it was check out time and to leave even though we were prepaid. He said you need to vacate now or I'm calling the police in 10 minutes, but then we got the confirmation details corrected by customer service over the phone... so we continued to stay there.
