I drove from Athens to Garland looking for a 1st vehicle for my daughter. I went to NTX where I met with a sales person named Jonathan. I did let him know she was wanting a coupe and I needed a dependable vehicle she could drive to school and work in. I purchased a 2012 Nissan Altima that Saturday right before the dealership closed. On the way driving back to Athens within 10 minutes of leaving the lot the check engine light came on while my daughter and boyfriend where driving it. I told them to meet me at Autozone where they pulled the code on it. It was the transmission code P1778. We went ahead and drove it home and I had my mechanic in business here 30 years with 5 star reviews look at it Monday. He let me know by the amount of metal in the transmission fluid it had been messed up quite sometime and the only way it could have been fixed would have been for them to replace the transmission or they reset the codes on the computer. In his opinion the code had been reset. I called Jonathan that Tuesday and let him know what my mechanic said to which he replied “Ah naw it don’t work like that! I don’t trust your mechanic, I need to have my mechanic look at it.” He told me where to bring the car to have his mechanic look at the vehicle. I took off work and brought the car to the location an hour away from my home and set there waiting all day. I got no answer about the car from the shop or him so I finally messaged him around 3 and he responded and said Yes it is the transmission and I pleaded with him to at least give me a portion of my money back or let me trade it for another vehicle. He said, “We’re not just going to do you like that since it happened so quickly when you left the lot. Let me talk to my boss and we’ll either give you a portion of the money ($6,000) back or let you trade it for another car. You can leave the car at the shop and I’ll be in touch with you Monday.” Monday came around and no call nothing. Tuesday I call and no response. Wednesday and he’s like I’m sorry my boss had eye surgery and I haven’t been able to talk to him yet. I finally went and picked the car back up and drove it another hour back here. Got the run around for another week and finally realized they had no intention of doing anything about it. Now I am stuck with a car that she can’t drive, no transmission shop wants to fix because it’s a CVT transmission. The one I found wanted $5,000 to fix it. It was such a disappointment for my daughter and such a waste of money! They knew the car had a bad transmission and reset the code so they didn’t lose the money they paid for it. It’s such a shame that people are allowed to business like this! Don’t waste your time or money here. Don’t trust this dealer they will rip you off! I didn’t read all the reviews just like mine before I bought this car or I never would have purchased it. I’m hoping people will see mine and steer clear of this dealer!

I was young and d*** when I bought my first vehicle from them! They sold me a lemon :( I had issues with the car from day one! I put in so much money into the car and it still didn’t work. A mechanic told me I was better off letting it go and buying a new vehicle. That’s how bad it was! had to let it go and hurt my credit really bad. Please stay away from this place! They took advantage of the fact that I didn’t know any better. They even let me make a down payment in “payments”.Edit : yes right I bought this car a couple years back and I’m still feeling the repercussions since I had to let it go :(
