Horrible store! At least half the aisles had caution tape blocking them off. I couldn’t get to anything I was interested in. The shoes were all beat up, dirty with scuff marks, and looked old and had obnoxious pricing on them. I picked up a box of 30 bathroom sized garbage bags (target brand) and it said $15.98! I took it to the register to find out the price and I think they said $7 or so. Made me laugh! They are $2.50 at target and should have been cheaper at “dirt cheap”. Who are they kidding!?!?! What a joke. There were lots of the same item with different pricing on it. Saw this on curtains and bedding. Would never ever go here again!

I am a big fan of the “Dirt Cheap” brand but the Garland store is a total mess,such a no no???
The staffs (almost all of them) especially the African Americans,are so rude and mean!
I was there 04/13/3019, was checking out some items on an aisle with my shopping cart at the edge of the aisle,before I looked behind me to push my cart,it had been taken by the staffs 2aisles away from me and they put one of my items out of it while the cart and my other stuffs were gone!I totally didn’t understand what was happening! I knew those ladies putting hangers away took my cart but didn’t wanna create a scene,walked up to them and asked politely,they acted dumb and unaware of what they did! I waked down to the front,another staff walked down there with me and we still found those ladies(staff) taking out hangers,after my explanation,they started laughing! So rude,so impolite,so saucy!
I had my Parker jacket in the cart,they took it all away with my finds! This is terrible and should stop!
The same way they almost picked a fight up with my mom and sis 3 months ago over a simple question,the cashier literally walked out on us! Such a mess! So rude and impolite! Even when their supervisor tried mediating,the girls tried to make her fight! So sad,so sick!

It was my 1st time here. It was Memorial Day, and the whole store was 50% off. It was so crowded. I glanced around a bit and left. The checkout line was literally all the way back towards the back of the store by housewares.

I used to be dirt cheaps biggest fan. I told everyone about it, but they have really gone to s#!%. the prices are now higher than giraffe vag, they must be crazy to think we are going to dig through all their busted up stuff just to pay more than we would at target (where most of it comes from) if I had to guess they are likely getting ready to go out of business this the hike in prices, either that or they have just plain old lost their minds. I used to get some real deals from there. I do not recommend going unless you just like to dig and get no deal!

Upon our recent visit to DC in Garland, we asked for a key to the restroom, as we were told it was needed. The cashier directed us to the back where the manager was to obtain the key. When we approached the manager, she VERY RUDELY snapped and said she did not have a key and that we needed to go up front. We let her know that the cashier told us to come to the back for the key. The nicest young man let us know that he would get the key, and in that moment, the “manager” proceeded to roll her eyes and smack her lips. When we mentioned that she should probably not be so rude to a customer, she put her hand up and very loudly raised her voice “MAAM” and then proceeded to walk off, mumbling under her breath.
Maybe because she manages a “lux store” she feels like she is better than anyone, but that is absolutely no way to treat a customer in your store. Not to mention some employees informed us that she is rude and even they do not like her. Sounds like time for a new manager.

This was my first time visiting this Dirt Cheap location. The store was clean and organized and it was very easy to shop here. The store manager Ms. Frenchetta was very professional and provided me with excellent customer service! I was very pleased with the employees as well and I will definitely be back to this location!

Garland location is back open again but definitely not the same. Looks more life a Thrift store or swap meet. Prices are higher for used items. Clothes being sold have rips and stains on them and the shoes have CLEARLY been worn. They used to have a lot of appliances, home decor and improvement items but not so much now. Not worth the drive anymore.
