I have purchased from Champs stores in the past and do not recall any negative issues. Today I called their Garland store looking for a specific item. Was transferred to department I asked for by the automated phone system. The person who answered mumbled something that I could not understand. And before anyone freaks, she was not speaking a different language, she was just completely disconnected from actually trying to interact with a customer on the phone and offer any help. I tried three times to understand her and finally just hung up. My review is based on my attempt to get some simple information and then come spend money with them. I called Academy in Garland after giving up on Champs. They lady there could not have been more helpful. I am going to Academy and will not try the Champs Garland store again. Terrible experience at Champs today. Excellent experience at Academy.
