Man, these guys are as fair & honest as you’re going to find in the car business these days.
I had a breakdown (idler pulley failure) while on a weekend getaway to Galveston in my Chevy Silverado 3500 HD.
When I heard the screech & smelled the belt slip, I assumed my alternator was toast.
After a quick phone call & no nonsense quote, I knew this was where I wanted my vehicle towed & boy did I pick right.
Not only were these guys personable & friendly, but they tested the alternator I had already approved & found it to be good, saving me several hundred dollars.
Gentleman, your honesty & your integrity is noticed & appreciated.

This shop destroyed my truck. Total engine failure the day after it was returned to me. It ran fine before I brought it in, but I had some extra money to replace the starter and valve cover gaskets and a friend recommended R/T Exhaust and Automotive. They said they could do it, but when the motor failed the next day (Sounded like a chainsaw and blowing smoke, declared a total loss) I found the coolant return wasn't reconnected and a few plugs were left unconnected. BEWARE. I had the truck towed back to their shop, they simply said "sorry, it's nothing we could've done." I left this review years ago but it was somehow deleted. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Bobby the owner , managed to fit me into his schedule today to review an Issue I thought I was having with my 2012 Buick . Although he was packed to the rafters he took time to inspect my car. I was concerned before embarking on a trip and wanted to make certain there would be no problems on the road .
It turned out all was good! He declined to take any payment for his quick inspection since there were no issues found . We all know how that might have been different with a less scrupulous mechanic . Bobby is a truly honest mechanic and not the norm in a world charging for everything with the upsell! Thanks Bobby ! You are our go to mechanic in Galveston .

Robert is a great mechanic! He's a good guy, honest, tells you what's going on and costs upfront, and will research to find the best parts for your vehicle. We will always have him do repairs on our vehicles.

These guys saw my hot mess express pull up and immediately jumped out of the garage and started evaluating. They made sure that the leak they saw was nothing of concern. And then they welded and reattached my exhaust. In less than 30 minutes. Super professional and no nonsense. What a great experience!

Seems like a good, fair, and honest mechanic to me. I had work done on two vehicles here. He was friendly, fast, and the work seems good. I'd say mid price range, which is a good deal, for a very experienced mechanic. I would highly recommend.

While visiting from out of the State our check engine light came on with our Jeep. We called Bobby and he was willing to work on it right away. He even ordered the replacement part while we were driving to his shop! In about an hour we were back on the road.I can't tell you how refreshing it was to get service from such a great, (and friendly) mechanic.If you need auto service this is definitely the place to go.

My Wife and I went to Galveston 2 months ago for our 1st year Wedding Anniversary and my car sudden broke down a 30 minutes away from our destination. When we finally got to our Air BnB, I called all the Auto Shops in Galveston, but all of their appointments were booked during the rest of our stay and lacked compassion on our situation. Until I found R/T Exhaust & Automotive and spoke with Bobby. He was able to fit me into their schedule the next day! Fortunately we were staying in Galveston for a whole week. I tell you what, this was a miracle! They did an excellent job on replacing the alternator and battery. I got my car back the next day and was working great. Our vacation was saved and we are truly grateful for Bobby and R/T Exhaust & Automotive!Service: Battery

My car battery light turned on, so I called R/T Exhaust & Automotive to schedule an appointment for diagnostic. I spoke with Bobby and informed him of the issue and car symptoms. He was able to fit me into his schedule the day after. I tell you what, this guy is amazing, he took care of us. He replaced the alternator, verified my battery was still in working order and even fixed my splash shield that was hanging/dragging below my car. He told me that it was covered under the warranty and that took so much stress off my shoulders since we can't afford another mechanic bill. Bobby and his shop saved us a second time! My wife and I are truly grateful to do business with such an honest, genuine, friendly and trustworthy Auto-mechanic shop.Bobby and R/T Exhaust & Automotive are truly lifesavers!
