Definitely an informally-run local shop, but friendly staff, fair prices and highly competent mechanics. I’m a local and have been there thrice now — it’s my auto repair shop of choice on the island.

Absolutely recommend!! I’m traveling and my AC condenser went out.. they got the part and fixed me up in a couple hours…. And changed my oil free of charge(I had the oil and filter in my truck already). May not have been the cheapest service but I’m not complaining…. Very pleased!!Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

I'm from Wimberley, Texas and I was in Galveston on vacation. I had an issues with my fuel system that cause the check engine light to come on. Since I didn't know anyone in Galveston I Googled auto repair. The lady that answered the phone say they could fix it but I needed to be there at 8am. Yep, I was there ..:) It took them about an hour. I haven't had anymore problems with it and I did a lot of driving before I returned to Wimberley. Thanks G&M, you were a life saver

Definitely want to thank them for fixing our radiator hose leak. We were on vacation and our radiator hose cracked. They were able to get me in within 5 min of me calling and arriving. They told me if I has them repair it the part would be in the following day but they figured out a way to bypass the problem you get me right back on the road. Was not charged an arm and leg, the owner was great to chat with, and Nick, their black lab, was a great listener.Thanks you guys!!!

I've been going to G&M for all my truck's service, maintenance and repairs for almost 20 years. Monte, Wanda and crew are top-notch. The service is always first rate, communication is excellent, and above all, they are honest. Because of the stellar service, I've been able to keep a 22 year old Dodge diesel truck on the road as a dependable daily driver. Couldn't ask for a better mechanic!

My son drove from Kansas City to Galveston and his car had an issue on Friday afternoon. G&M worked him in and treated him fairly and got his car repaired so he can drive home. Super appreciative of an honest shop that took care of my boy and eased my mind. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you G&M

Made the drive from kc and had a cylinder misfire, called g&m and they diagnosed over the phone, told me which parts to get, and got me fully repaired within 2 hours, people were super nice, they gave great advice for future maintenance would do 6 stars if I could

Amazing! We were on vacation when our car broke down. Had no idea what to do but the tow people pointed us in the right direction, towed it there on a Sunday, called first thing Monday morning and they got right on it!Life savers for sure!Service: General repairs & maintenance

We came to get a simple brake job. The owner did it himself and broke 4 out of 5 bults and studs.the brakes are now grinding on the roaders and making a grinding noise when slowing down. Please save your money and go where they have professionals. Only reason I picked one star is because I had to put one star .
