In Galveston with our dog on vacation and he got pretty sick. These folks got us in and took care of him so well. Everyone was kind, we were in and out quickly with everything we needed. We wish we could take this place back home with us so they could be our primary care facility. Would go back if ever needed.

Dr. Fistein and her amazing staff have renewed my faith in humanity! I am so very grateful to these guys. Not only did they recently save my puppy, Rosco, after being hit by a truck; but they have also answered questions on Christmas Day (and filled a prescription), taken the time and effort to actually know his situation, remembered Rosco and his litter mates from the very first time I brought them in at 3 1/2 weeks old after I found all 10 of them abandoned, and have been beyond reasonable with pricing and support - enabling me to provide all of the care and therapy they needed back then and that Rosco will need Now. Dr. Fistein is the first vet in a very long time whom I can say truly is passionate about animals and does this for a living because she genuinely wants to help them - not just to make money! I have been pleasantly surprised at every turn with the professionalism of both she and her staff, their genuine kindness and concern for both pets and their owners, and their incredible knowledge and skill when dealing with every challenge presented. This is definitely, by far, the absolute best vet clinic on the island and in surrounding areas. I am so impressed with these folks and this place that I've had an extremely difficult time trying to decide what to put in this review so that it isn't any longer than it is now. If you are looking for a top notch veterinarian, impeccable care for your fur baby, and peace of mind that you are putting your pet in the absolute best hands possible no matter what the situation - this is the place! And all for such a reasonable fee - I cannot tell you how grateful I am for these guys! Truly amazing and inspiring!!!

They saved our 3 year old kitty Bozo's life!! He found my sewing machine in the middle of the night and swallowed a ton of sewing thread straight from the machine. It obstructed his intestines, causing a perforation. It soon turned into an emergency situation, where he needed intestinal surgery to remove the string. We were so worried about him, but they were so reassuring during the whole ordeal. The type of surgery he needed was expensive, but they were very reasonable compared to online estimates. Nobody ever pressured us into anything. They monitored him at first to see if he would pass the obstruction, and performed bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasounds. Dr. Daniella called us as soon as it became an emergency situation and immediately took him in for surgery. The surgery was a success, and he is back to his purring, happy, snuggly self (and he's eating normally!!). The clinic itself is so nice and cat-oriented. The waiting room has tables for your kitty's carrier so that they will be more comfortable on a high surface. They have soft music playing and it's so calm with no dogs allowed in the building. The exam room has cat scratchers and little houses if your kitty wants to hide or let off some stress. Not to mention all the cute cat decorations and the awesome staff. In the past, the clinics we've visited seemed to focus primarily on dogs. They were too chaotic and scary for our boys. Not the Cat Clinic! I would definitely recommend them, thank you for helping Bozo!! He gets to go back to living his happy, spoiled life with his brother (and 0 string!!). The striped "pajamas" he's wearing are just to help his incision heal.

We are on vacation and my Yorkie got a goathead burr in his paw. He wouldn't let me pull it. If you have ever seen a vicious Yorkie, he was all teeth. I called the vet (Fistein Lea DVM) and the worked him right in. Super nice people in the office.. When they brought him back out they said "no charge) I couldn't be more pleased. If I lived here I would have Dr. Fistein as Mt full time vet.

Awesome clinic. Great people. Our dogs are happy. We're only in Galveston for a few months but this clinic has been great to us. We had one dog who needed minor surgery and another dog who needed shots. The price was great and the staff was gr3ater.

Dr. Lea answered all my questions, honestly and respectfully. She didn't try to upsell me on anything, and it was clear that her goals were just to take care of my baby. Very pleased to have her as our veterinarian!

If you're looking for a trust worthy vet who values your dogs health look no further. Dr. Diestler is the most amazing vet we have ever used. He is kind and patient he answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed and we genuinely feel like his priority is to provide great pet care at a reasonable price. I can't say thank you enough to him and his team for providing a seamless covid compliant vet experience for our Callie today.

AVOID this place if your pet need surgery or a biopsy. I work in a major cancer center where I actively treating cancer patients. I have waited a while to write this to try and not let my emotions run wild. They have no idea what they are doing when it comes to extensive care. I asked for a biopsy for my dog with a lump on her side. They said it was done and all was clear which we were so happy about. A few months later the lump grew and we went back and i asked to see the report from the biopsy, to which they said we didn't do one! So what did I pay for? Then I had them do a biopsy this time while I was there. They called me back about a week later saying everything looks good, so I said read me the results which she did. So then I asked her what did the vet think that meant she said it was good with no cancer. She was Completely wrong she had no idea what she was reading. So I explained to her what my job is and where I worked and that the word positive margin means Cancer! Early detection is one of the greatest tools against cancer. There inaction and lies took my service dog from Iraq years too early. DO NOT let this happen to you make them show you proof of everything.

I had not been in Galveston long enough to have a vet, and my 15 year old dog was not doing well. I knew it was time to euthanize her. The staff at The Animal Clinic was amazing. I just want to say thank you!
