2 stars for being convenient, however the employees at this store clearly do not want to be there and are rude to the customers. I frequent the store as I am a local and it is on my way home. There are 2 older employees (male and female) that rarely show a smile or greet you when you walk up to the register. Then there is a Hispanic woman with a rude and snappy attitude who thinks it is okay to yell at customers. The aisles are often blocked and it is hard to navigate the store with a cart. The entrance to the registers is oddly placed where the line falls into the main aisle and it is difficult to maneuver the carts into. How about you start the lines where the cash register begins (specifically for the self checkout) rather than making customers awkwardly move the cart through a narrow path and then turn the cart in an accessible manner to check out.

Been going to this location for years! Gay always has horrible customer service. She never wants to help and is always snappy. Everyone else here is awesome!

Typical Dollar General with some grocery items being way out in Jamaica Beach...Nearest general store that is not gas station prices.

I hate the way Dollar General pushes many local shops out of business but I do appreciate the ability to run in and grab needed items quickly and at a reasonable price. It's the choice we all have to make at times. In our case, we needed TP and a small bottle of laundry detergent. Dollar General had what we needed - in the brands we preferred - and didn't cost a fortune. Plus it was close so we could walk and grab what we needed. Win win. This location also has a huge selection of groceries, if you need them.

Wow, it's impressive what you can find in this store, they close at 9pm, it's good for looking for emergency things, it has a large parking lot, moderate prices but by searching you can get a better price, it has access to a wheelchair accessible villa.
