6128 Broadway St, Galveston“It was great to shop there. We needed drinking water bottles and they were easy to put on the shopping cart since we both can not carry heavy. Also one of the nice guys that checked us out before carried a 32 pack and put it in our cart.
They also sell Tillamook ice cream (vanilla
strawberry and chocolate chip cookie dough), a large container, for only $5.29 ( $5.99?) and they have Talenti ice cream in many different flavors. We got 2 for $9.00.
The store is clean and it's cool inside.”

2711 61st St, Galveston“I found a skirt that I liked and wanted to buy. It was laying on top of a rack that was a clearance rack with dresses. Originally I was looking for a dress. The light colored skirt had a stain on it with some black grease, but it was minor. They wouldn't sell it to me, because the lady said that the skirt comes with a top. She looked for the top, but could not find it. So I couldn't buy it she said. Well things are the way they are and if you can't change it accept it as if it wasn't meant to be for you.”
“Not bad with supplies, prices are fair to certain products as well. However the street layout is difficult to get there due to main road. But other the store was adequate”
“Always busy but a staple on the island. I make at least 4 trips every time I go to the beach. Consistent with others in quality, good gas prices, usually easy check-out, workers manage the place well.”
“Third time here coming in for toiletries before going on a cruise. When you've been to one Walmart, they're all very similar. However, pricing on food items varies depending on the location. Nonfood goods are the same price regardless of what state you're in. But food prices vary. For example: a bag of popcorn is $2.98 at this Walmart, but $3.15 in San Diego. Same product, different states, so different prices.Loved that they have a gluten-free section. Usually, the same items as found in other Walmarts. The only negative, they have limited varieties of yogurt both in terms of flavors and types - not a lot of plant based.I use self checkout and have only asked for help a few times so limited interaction with employees. But the few I've met have been nice.Because it's Texas, grocery bags are free. No $0.10 per bag charge like in California. Lots of parking. Uber and Lyft arrive quickly usually within 3 minutes. So there's never a wait which is nice when you've got grocery bags.”
“Whoa. Huge change from central Texas. Galveston bites, but service industry people there are *friendly*. Get this - I asked someone for assistance, and she not only helped, she went out of her way to help me! And, while she was checking back stock, a young man asked if I needed assistance. He *asked*. That doesn't happen where I'm from. Walmart people here (Austin) completely avoid eye contact. Sadly, I'm not up for a 4.5-hour drive to shop at the Galveston location.”
“People who work there were very friendly.Especially Wanda. She was very helpful. But they still are getting the store backtogether after some remodeling they haddone. They still do not have all the products in stock yet. They are working on it. Some really good deals on clearance items, I was amazed . Bought a pair of shoes for $3.50 .”
“Love shopping at Ross they were close to my hotel also. They should look into a different alrm sytem for shoes though couldn't even try a pair on without the alrm steadily going off, and when checking out almost none of the alarms would come off at counter until about fifth try.”
