Nice location close to the cruise port in Galveston, not quite walking distance though. It was a short walk across the street to a nice beach and also a short walk to convenience stores, and there's a Golden Coral to put on the feed bag just across the parking lot. Several other restaurants are also in walking distance. The rooms were comfy, the hotel was clean, staff friendly, and the breakfast area was well stocked in the morning.

Enjoyed our stay at Baymont Wyndham in Galveston. All the front desk staff was so courteous & helpful & accommodated quickly to any requests. Had a great night sleep in their comfy beds. Very clean room & bathroom. Quick walk to the Seawall & beach. Continental breakfast was delicious. Will definitely return.

I used my rewards points on a free night here and I wish I had not. Other than being a walking distance from the beach this place has nothing going for it. Beds were super stiff and uncomfortable, the vending machine only sells $5 candy bars and soda for $4. The water was not dispensing only option has water from the fountain which tasted terrible BYOW The ice room on my floor was locked so X that. Anyway the nice morning staff and the good music got them 2 stars. Don’t recommend this place the La Quinta across looks newer and in better shape.

I periodically stay here when I am in Galveston working. On several occasions I have been in a room where the water in the shower & sink is tepid at best. I have been given the same excuse for a few years now. “The boilers are on the first floor on 1 end of the building & the owner knows about it.” If the owner knows about it why isn’t the problem corrected?

Comfortable beds and friendly staff. The drawback is they have roaches, we killed several and was only staying a night before our cruise. I wouldn't stay again!Rooms: Comfortable bed, they just have roaches!Nearby activities: So much to do and the beach is across the street. Many eateries near the hotel.Safety: We felt safw staying there.Noteworthy details: They need to have the hotel sprayed for roaches!

Room was much nicer than expected from reading reviews.. You can walk To the seawall and sixty first street pier in about five minutes.Nearby activities: Sea wall, pier, lots of restaurants.Walkability: Sea wall, pier, lots of restaurants.

Got my daughter and her husband a few days getaway trip to Galveston. Pictures of room looked nice and roomy. Her reply when I asked about hotel- “It was very nice, no complaints. Everyone was super nice and they had everything we needed.”

There was a roach in my bed and on the wall. I immediately went to the front desk and was not offered another room or a refund. It was like 2 am and I had my 5 year old daughter with me so I felt unsafe leaving that late. The manager Marisol was very rude. Her employee who was on shift when I informed her about the roach lied and said she offered me another room when she did not. I told them to pull the footage because I wasn’t offered anything. Marisol told me she was going to watch the footage and call me back… that was 9/7. Still haven’t gotten a call back. Nothing!

Was a decent stay until the last night. Woke up to the ac leaking very badly then when I went to look at it there was a family of roaches living underneath and I assume the wall. Went and talked to staff and they called my husband a liar. Pics of proof. If y’all want to stay at a hotel and possibly bring bugs back home, this is definitely the one.Even though it was cheap, I would NOT recommend.

Stayed the weekend in a wonderfully large double bed room which included a complimentary large selection breakfast. The room had a balcony, free wifi, mini fridge, microwave, coffee and tea. Within walking distance of restaurants (Golden Corral, Waffle House, etc.) and the seawall/beach (Saves you the cost of seawall parking fees). The room was immaculate and clean, smelling fresh and with great climate control, I like a cold room! I highly recommend this location!!!Rooms: The rooms are large and have lots of lighting and outletsNearby activities: Pleasure Pier Boardwalk, Murdoch's Gifts and Souvenirs, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, MuseumsSafety: Front desk is occupied 24/7. Hotel key card is required for entrance. Parking lot is well lit. The area is very safe for this part of Galveston.Walkability: Within walking distance of the Galveston Seawall/BeachFood & drinks: Hotel has vending machines and restaurants are in walking distance and Golden Corral and Waffle House are next door.

The customer service deserves higher than five stars. This is the second time we stayed here and both times they have gone above and beyond. The rooms could use some touching up but being that close to the water it’s expected to get warn a little quicker. See you on our next cruise!!

Across street from seawall and ocean. Cheapest hotel the night we stayed for the location. Beds comfortablePillows small, there was a stagment smell in the lobby, cleaning smell in the hallways, breakfast waffles were great, but not much of a selection for anything else except cereal and bagels.Staff was nice, easy check in and check out. We stayed there one night before our cruise.Nearby activities: You could walk to the beach. There was also a dock where you could go fishing. Restraunts and shopping all in walking distance.

The room was a nice size, but the water in the sink and tub wouldn't get above lukewarm. After we complained, they gave us a new room; water was nice and hot, but the air conditioner was loud as heck, and never got cool enough. Life is full of tradeoffs, and you get what you pay for. Hotel is in a very location, close to stores and places to eat,

USB by lamp didn't work, ice machine on our floor out of order but Texas shaped waffles were neat and tasted good, although a full breakfast would have been nice for price we paid. pool was fun, nice view of Gulf from our room. Great location central to restaurants and shops.
