“I booked the hall to save the date. I knew we were going to have my daughters party here. Things changed and I had to cancel due to capacity increase. Robert the owner said, If anything happens to where I have to cancel, I can get my deposit back within 14 days, I sent the deposit. I have to admit, I was a little scared because some places will try to keep you deposit. This man is a person of his word. I did received 100% of my deposit the next day. Thank You!”
“My senior prom took place at El Dorado ballroom and I have to say that it was a really good experience. It was very spacious and could easily hold our class for prom. It looked really nice and was quite clean, everything from the main dance room and the restroom. I would highly recommend it for any events anyone is planning for.”
“I had my wedding here a few weeks ago and this hall went beyond ! This is the only place that was affordable and within my budget. Mayra was easy to communicate and was super friendly. The staff on the wedding day were so amazing to get the job done. Don't let the outside fool you because the inside is beautiful!”
“Very nice venue for opera or ballet. Expect a 15 dollar charge for parking in the garage below but they are organized and safe. Wortham center has great productions and very friendly staff.”
“The 1940 Air Terminal Museum was a great wedding venue for our group of about 100 people. So many people both from Houston and out of state loved the museum, and despite the colder weather almost everyone went out into the historic airplane (and loved it)! There was almost always someone wandering the exhibits, so there was plenty to look at and talk about for the folks that didn’t want to dance. Juan was so easy to work with and really helped us use the space in the best way possible. Also, we were close enough to the hotels around Hobby that their shuttle service would bring people to and from the venue, which was nice for the out of state people. Overall a unique venue that was convenient, super interesting, and easy to work with!”

“When Cowboy Carter released 3.29.24, it felt amazing to hear the album (almost in full) at the skating rink before it closed for the season. I'm glad that me & my group of 6 friends arrived when we did (35 min after the event began) because shortly afterwards the line to get in was extremely long and skate inventory was low (some of us had to size up). I assume it was due to the many pairs of abandoned skates near the rink area that customers could've used had they been returned. Overall, the DJ was highly entertaining and censored, mixing Beyoncé recent albums and later, hip-hop, visitors of all ages and skating levels seemed to be having a good time! I would recommend bringing your own water and snacks as I did not see an area to purchase any”
“This space is one that has helped me cultivate many connections, most turned friends. It has also been an incubator for my dreams. The biggest challenge for me when hosting workshops was finding a consistent space, and WLW became that for me and with no hesitation either. It’s really the generosity and flexibility and love that Ruby (the owner) embodies. So diligent and thoughtful, my dreams were realized in this space and I am endlessly grateful. Book your next anything here, and you’ll be taken good care of. Considering donating to the cause too because it’s a small (but big) Black + woman owned business that could always use our continued support.”

“Bayou Music Center was Great. Clean venue with nice restrooms that had plenty of stalls and urinals. Several mini bars to get beverages. Big can beers (24-25oz) were ~$14-15. General Audience standing room was decent for this concert. We got seats in the balcony and they were Fantastic. Bar and restroom upstairs was easy to access. The sound of the band was just right... Not too loud, not too soft. The vocals were distorted... But I'll blame that on the band. We stayed at a nearby hotel and ubered to the concert so I can't speak on parking. Enjoyed this facility!...Portugal. The Man, Not so much. They were blah?”
“I went on a Tuesday at 10AM and had the entire park all to myself! I enjoyed the tranquility and the curated music that you can scan at each biome. It got hot around 12PM, but by that point, I had already finished making my way through the entire park. Definitely stop by the park's shop for home grown goodies and unique gifts to take home!”

“Love to see moribund churches being repurposed into something beneficial to the community!!! When a friend had a play here, we jumped at the chance to come and show support! The place is still very much looking like a church on the outside (the sign is just a banner for now), but the space is very large and there are numerous bathrooms, which are both huge pluses! Our event had a bar and food for sale. The sound system was awesome! There were many volunteers to help, but getting in and getting tickets needed a bit of work. Overall we had a great time here & recommend the space for all sorts of events!”

Everything we had was so delicious! Quality is really impressive and we had a blast hopping from place to place sampling so many different dishes! Super fun, great atmosphere, love the style and design of the place! As a native Houstonian, it's so awesome to see what they've turned this building into! I remember having to come all the way downtown to our city's main list office to mail some scholarship info I waited until the very last minute to send and had to get like a million stamps to make sure it got there on time.. LOL. #Memories. Now I get to enjoy this place with my husband! ❤️”
