John was a phenomenal help with me building my own 40K gallon pool. This company has answered all my questions and helped make sure I had everything needed for an easy install of the equipment that I purchased from them. They have also helped with replacement parts and sent them quickly to my home.

We were way over-quoted by a random repair company for a pool light replacement. My husband ended up pulling ours out himself, and I called around to see if anyone carried it. Wholesale Pool Equipment had it at a GREAT price, and got it delivered to their office from their warehouse same day! They were super friendly on the phone and in taking my order, called me a couple hours later when the part arrived, and I went to pick it up — all same day. Thanks for a great experience!

I called today for advice about purchasing a pool heater. John was not only helpful but a great teacher in regards to what I would need to consider. I really appreciate business people who treat customers with respect and give of their time. I am well past 75, female and had lots of d*** questions. He answered them all and also share information that I did not know to ask. Kudos. I will definitely do business this this company.

So comical they require their customers to all wear masks to protect them, but they do not wear masks themselves to protect their customer.

I was in a Jam, my pentair filter split and I had water pouring out, called my pool guy and plumber and got the same old run around, everything is hard to get, can't find the parts, etc. Called these guys they advised me on the right part and had it to my door in 3 days, Arizona to Pennsylvania and I later found out a super reasonable price. I will recommend these guys without hesitation and plan on using them in the future for all my pool needs. Bill Lucchesi Lansdale Pa

Wow, I wish I had read some of these reviews 10 months ago. We started a Build Your Own Pool in October. Initial sales and consultation was great. Ongoing consultation has been good also. For a $3k fee, BYOP measures everything; provides a design spec; gives you a list of equipment to purchase from their sister company, Wholesale Pool Equipment; recommends subcontractors and helps with any questions/issues. Excavation started in November, we were told if all goes well, two months total so we ordered equipment in November, $14k worth, seemed like a good deal at the time. Plumbing and rebar in December. Gunite was backed up due to heavy demand, January. Then we had an ice storm in TX, which wreaked havoc on many existing pools and new pool construction. Equipment, construction materials became scarce and expensive. Tile, coping took about a week, however it took a month to schedule. Same subcontractor did the deck, which took over a month to schedule. Long story short, electric work was done in June and the electrician, recommended by BYOP, went to install pool lights and one needed a longer cord. We called Wholesale Pool Equipment and were happy to hear they can exchange the light for same model with 150' power cord, for difference in price, and they had four in stock. The next day, John, the head of sales, told us, sorry, we can't exchange the light because 1) the box had been opened, and 2) it was purchased more than 60 days ago. So, now we're stuck with a $700 paper weight :(

Ordered a pool test kit (Taylor K-177). Got inaccurate test result. Checked the expiration date. It expired in 2017, over 3 years ago. Went to find the address of the company to complain - the shipping box was a re-used one, with old stickers inked out. There was no packing slip or 'sender' company name or address. There is no info to contact them. I got their contact info when they sent me a request to "review" their product. Checked with my pool company and was told these 'wholesalers' buy items that are nearly out of date for very low cost, then turn around and sell them. Buyers beware - carefully check expiration dates if you deal with them.

Not very helpful on the phone and have hidden fees when it comes time to pay. Very disappointing.

Good prices til they ask for photos of both sides of your credit card and driver's license. Totally ridiculous
