Today, I came to the service center in the evening to ask few questions about my car. I didn’t realize in the dark and entered from the wrong way. It was my mistake, but a guy from the service center rather asking me to back up started screaming at me even when I stopped my car. I was in a shock. It took me a while to realize. The guy was soo.. rude, he kept on screaming at the peak of his voice. It was so embarrassing. I will never come to this place again.

Dropped my vehicle off at this location on 2/13 due to my car powering off when it’s idling and to have my tank looked into because I was unable to pump gas full speed without the pump stopping every 4 seconds which take me longer to fill up my tank to full. Upon arrival I informed them I had warranty and provided the details to the front desk gentleman and I would get a call in the morning with the diagnosis. The next day I never received a call back from Mark. I called later that evening and he stated that they resolved the issue with the car shutting off, it appeared to have been loose cables on the battery. They still didn’t have an update on the tank. I stopped by that evening and he Informed me that they were going to replace my whole gas tank and it should be ready 2/15 and he informed me he forgot I was a warranty customer and would have to call them the next morning because they closed at 5. 2/15 I received a call and said he had spoke to the warrant company and it should be ready later that day . On 2/15 I stopped by around 5pm and my vehicle still had not been worked on because the part was delayed from Ram Plano. I told them since the power off issue was resolved, I’ll bring my truck back when the new tank gets in. It’s 2/16 and I drove my truck a hour and half down the highway this morning to an appointment and when I got back in to drive, it powered off at the light. Immediately called Mark. He stated that the issue was fix with the lowering off but “did not test it by driving it a few miles to see if it was actually fixed because it don’t have any gas in the vehicle and they were waiting to the tank replacement came in”. To ensure the vehicle was safe and it would not power off while driving without even confirming or testing the issue is unacceptable. The company prioritizes speedy vehicle repair over ensuring the underlying issue is thoroughly addressed, potentially leading to recurring problems. This business sits behind a gas station. I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed. I was told Mark manager was in a meeting and he would call me. I hope this company reaches out and rectifies this issue immediately.

Plugged the ECU on my toyota avalon into the wrong ground after doing $1500 worth of work and it caused the car to throw oxygen sensor codes. Took it back twice for them to make it right, they made it worse. Wanted $800 to replace oxygen sensors claiming they were bad. We said no and did the work ourselves, only to discover a broken wire and a wrench left in the car along with replacing the sensors not fixing the issue. Ultimately the cause of the issue is the ground for the ECU plugged into the wrong place by the shop and we're 600$ plus into fixing a problem that they created. We'd be $800 plus if we had authorized them to do more work and it would not have solved it. Will not return and will not recommend.

CJ wouldn’t accept the coupon they have posted online on their website. He said their owner will only take coupons printed on paper, but then the website doesn’t mention that! CJ said they have no control over their website. Seems lame. CJ said the paper coupon prevents people from reusing the same coupon again, but then someone could just print multiples copies of the same coupon and use it. Not sure how not accepting a coupon via phone (when most companies are trying to go paperless) prevents that. Furthermore, CJ was attempting to scare me into paying $1,000+ for a new coolant thermostat. He said my car would fail a state test and also he wouldn’t feel comfortable with letting me drive it. I told him I wanted to get a second opinion and I don’t think he liked hearing that. Charged me $119 for an oil change while the price posted on their wall is $80. Anyway, all in all, not a pleasant experience dealing with CJ and his pressure tactics.

Every experience with Stonebriar Auto Service & Repair has always been amazing, after picking up a vehicle that immediately needed a new motor and not being able to get in touch with the repairman for several weeks I took my car to Stonebriar because of a funny noise they took a look at it and instantly n knew what the problem was and pulled car around to fix it and if that wasn’t enough stellar service they didn’t even charge needless to say it took away all my fear and stress I had been feeling for weeks not getting in touch with the other repair place. My husband always bring our others cars here and the service is A+++ and everyone so nice and always professional I just love this place won’t go anywhere else to service our cars.

Update:Jan ‘24The owner of Stonebriar reached out to me to apologize for what happened. He sounded very sincere in his apology and said that was not the Stonebriar way. I made it clear that it was not the $60 I had to pay but what is right and fair and the possible next person where $60 is the difference between eating or not.He confirmed that I was fully justified in feeling the way I did and that he had a discussion with the staff outlining that is not the way they are to do business. As such I will be raising my review to 4 stars for now. I do truly hope this was a one-off incident and in time this review will rise again to 5 stars.--==Jan '24==--I’m really bummed to write this review. I enjoy finding places I can do business with that I trust and this was one of those places. I have been doing business with Stonebriar Auto Service for around 3 years now. The first service they did was a rear brake job and I was very pleased with the whole process and everyone involved. Since that time, they have earned my trust and have done all my service. That leads to today.I came in to the shop knowing I needed to get my front brakes done. While I was there, I requested I get my oil done and I had noticed I have some corrosion build up on my battery. I asked while it was in could they clean the corrosion off my battery. They do the work and I pay the bill and go home. When I get home I see they charged me $60 (General Labor of 0.4 @ $150) to clean the battery terminals. Please keep in mind I had just spent over $800 in “real” service items. I could see it being $10 for the trouble but $60 to clean corrosion off my battery terminals during a hood up $500+ repair?I went back up to the shop and the manager told me “that’s what we are told to charge by the higher ups” and “we use tools and chemicals..” I really don’t know much about modern cars.. but I am VERY aware of the effort and tools involved in cleaning standard lead acid battery terminals.I really thought I had found a gem in Stonebriar Auto. A place that I could take my car and trust the people were going to do what needed to be done at a fair price. Not have to shop around, not have to ask for a line item estimate before the work. I was wrong and that sucks and I feel stupid for trusting them now.I will probably still use them for some repairs as they have not given me reason to not trust their repair work. But now they are just another stereotypical auto repair place that I’m going to feel like a mark when I walk in the door and they are going to see how much money they can scam out of me.
