I had the most wonderful experience with Shades Of green. I have been trying to come up with a design for the front of my house for a couple of years now. I picked out a new gardenia plant for my yard and Mark Caliga came out to plant it for me. I was discussing my desires to change the front of the house and he came up with the most wonderful design. He combined the gardenia with some micro Holly, hydrangea &
other native plants. The gardenias were planted in front where my dog couldn’t get to them and a nontoxic plant was put in the back for my dog. It had been such a challenge finding the right design for my house and Mark did such an excellent job and he and Aiden did a wonderful job installing the plants for me. I am so happy with how it all turned out!!

So many special things about this place! It's our go to nursery for plants, or just an afternoon adventure! It's kid friendly, with many things to explore. We especially love searching for their nursery cats, insects, fish and turtles in the creek. There is always a wide variety of plants to choose from so we can always count on finding exactly what we came for. We adore this place and would suggest it to anyone looking for their garden needs or just a fun family outing.

I love Shades of Green it is such a wonderful nursery to visit especially with kids. My sons have always enjoyed visiting and learning about the various types of plants. One of the gentleman (John) that works there always helps me find exactly what I am looking for and he also offers suggestions on how to successfully grow whatever I am trying to grow.
There is a large selection of plants, herbs, and flowers to choose from. There is also a gift shop that has plenty of unique and interesting items to purchase for that special someone. One of the most delightful features of this nursery are the cats that live on the premises. My sons and I love petting the cats; there is one in particular we enjoy seeing the most as he is the sweetest kitty on the property and his name is Vail. If you love plants and love cats definitely check them out!

This nursery is not only as beautiful as it is expansive with a variety of plants, trees, and outdoor accessories for everyone’s gardening ideas. The staff are welcoming and ready to give support & education as you wander about their grounds. This nursery not only believes in beautiful gardens but also in giving back to its community. The staff take pride in their work and it can be seen as they help customers choose their plants/flowers/trees for their homes. I am a repeat customer and love the home-like feel of this nursery which sets it apart from gardening stores/nurseries in the surrounding area.

I can't speak highly enough of Shades of Green. Despite numerous home centers and nurseries in the area, their product knowledge and customer service set them apart. When a new shrub of mine succumbed to root shock, they promptly replaced it without hesitation. Blaze, in particular, not only explained the issue but also assisted me in selecting a healthy replacement shrub and additional plants. Such dedication and expertise have made me a very happy repeat customer.

I had been going here for 5 years with much loyalty, but they have lost their touch in customer service as Frisco has grown and they focus purely on revenue vs service. Good selection but they don’t value customers. I recently purchased several Taylor Junipers and about 2 months later one was clearly dying. I dug it out and brought it back in exchange / credit but the store manager said no ‘that’s normal’. Long story short after replanting it and hassle with returning it with a lost receipt (but proof via credit card and original tags) I had to toss it. Sad. I will bring my business elsewhere next year.

Awful experience. I drove 30 minutes here, passing several other places because of the claims that this store was helpful. No one even greeted me but I watched as they greeted others. I stated multiple times that I needed help with figuring out how to grow my plants and they offered nothing of use at all. Just dry, uninterested responses. I was even passed off to another employee who was just as uninterested as the first. I purchased a few things but probably shouldn’t have given them my business. I am very disappointed. Maybe it’s because i’m black? Will never return.
