Great spa and Outstanding appointment! I had my session with Tessa and appreciated her experience. She was professional and very sweet when focusing on my concerns. I seriously couldn’t be happier with the results! My skin looked and felt amazing afterwards. I feel like I have that glow of young skin again. I’m looking forward my next appointment.

My appointment was on the 12/08/24. At reception while filling out the consent form (which I always read) I saw that it stated the results may show after a week or longer. That was a concern to me so I asked about it. They told me that it takes 7-10 days for Botox to work. I stated that’s not true and that I have been doing Botox for 9 yrs (in reality I have been getting Botox for 11) . Results are 3 -4 days. They stated otherwise. I started feeling skeptical about continuing my treatment. They said everyone is different and maybe that’s just how it works with me. The injector Pat came and took me to the treatment room. I had the same conversation with her and she insisted on the same that results take 7-10 days etc. I told her I am very well travelled and I normally have a doctor that does this in my home country and when I do travel and in another country I always still get Botox and results are always within 3-4 days every single country I have been in. Including Texas. And sometimes I don’t even need to go for the recommended touch up after two weeks. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. I mean you can’t gaslight me into believing I’m wrong on something I know and experience . I wasn’t in the mood to argue and told myself well maybe that won’t be the case and stayed positive. I paid for it. Set up my 2nd wk appointment.
26/08/24 went for my 2nd appt. My wrinkles still visible and deep. Pat then told me if in a couple of days after a week, I still see the wrinkles I can go back. My alarm bells went off. I was thinking to myself “You mean to tell me I might still have wrinkles even after this?” I never voiced my concern but I said ok and left. So instead of just walking out as I expected Pat was walking me out to the reception she told me to wait as she searched for receptionist and I wondered why I would need to see her. And before I could ask she stated they needed to add my points (they had enrolled me for some points membership program). Receptionist came.and handed me the POS machine with $200 charge on it. I was STUNNED!!! Asked what the charge is for. She said they charge for any extra units of Botox. I asked isn’t it free? She said no.. it’s only free if I’m getting I think she said 5 or 10 but since I got I think she said 20 I need to pay for the extra. I said I’m not paying for anything. And I have NEVER heard or experienced anything like that in all my 11 years of getting Botox treatment anywhere in the world. Mind you.. I have gotten treatments in Nairobi, Dubai, Turkey, London and the States. NEVER HAVE I BEEN ASKED TO PAY FOR THE 2WkTOUCH UP! I can name all of them if need be and they will confirm. The receptionist went to call Pat and she explained to me the same. I stood firm in my decision and they said that’s what their policy. I said they should tell their customers beforehand.

I did not mention that I was unhappy but I wasn’t chatty like the first time, I chose not to complain. Since I was receiving a touch up anyway, there wasn’t a need for it. I was sure it will be solved and will be happy with my results. Like I said.. sometimes the wrinkles are still there and need touch up. Though shouldn’t be that deep. I write both +ve and -ve reviews which are honest. I didn’t receive treatment from the other spa, I called them out on their bad customer service, communication, and false advertisement..rightfully so. In my 11 yrs of Botox I haven’t written a bad review, cause there isn’t. Saying it’s a pattern is A REACH. Like I said, DO YOU NEED A CURRENT PIC of my STILL visible wrinkles 4wks later? I waited 4 wks to write a review.I gave it time and y’all some grace. I still have the wrinkles and it’s 4wks. Do I need to post pics with proof of today’s date? That means your services are horrible. And you going back and forth proves it. Why do I still have wrinkles 4wks later? Same exact spots that were “touched up”? If I didn’t have the wrinkles I wouldn’t have written this and let this go. If I was upset about the charge I would’ve w

Julia gave me a hydrofacial and did a absolutely amazing job. My skin felt so moisturized and clean afterwards . 10/10 recommend going and seeing her , definately will be going back!

Tessa at New Star med spa is an amazing skin aesthetician her attention to detail when dealing with clients is commendable I had an awesome experience with her as my skin laser technician and would definitely recommend this place and her services for treatment.

This Spa, the Aesthetician’s and Tessa (how great you are) are the best. The Spa is warm and inviting, they listen to you and they make you feel at home. Yes, they are professional but also there to calm your nerves. Now Tessa, best facial I ever had. Try the Hydro facial, you will leave wanting more!

I went in for Morpheus8. My first two treatments were trial and error with the numbing. We finally got it figured out and then the girl I used decided to quit. So they call me and tell me that a senior will be performing my treatment and that she is just a good. Mind you, I’m going in for acne scars. So the needles need to be going about 3-4 deep. The girl didn’t numb me with the proper numbing solution. And it was evident within the first pass. Towards the end I couldn’t even have her go near my eyes, lip or nose because it was too painful. I ask her the depth and she says 1&2. A ONE AND TWO ON A THOUSAND DOLLAR TREATMENT THAT IS MEANT FOR ACNE SCARS. On top of that. She didn’t use the right head. It was supposed to have 24 needles and this one only had 12. There were supposed to be 3 passes and she only did 2. At an incredibly slower and more painful rate. It was already sketchy with the first girl. But for the second girl to completely derail a treatment that has cost me 3000$? It’s unacceptable. Stop letting children with less than two years of experience fly solo on a procedure like this. It’s reckless and it’s giving you a bad name. Now I’ll have to go somewhere else and shell out even more cash for something that should have been done properly in the first place. It’s false advertising and you’re putting your clients at risk.

I recently had a micro-needling treatment. My esthetician, Tessa, was wonderful. She explained the procedure in detail before she started and patiently answered all my questions. She continually checked my pain level to make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. She thoroughly went over the post-treatment and recovery directions. It was a wonderful experience and I’ve already received numerous compliments on my skin. I look forward to my second treatment in a few weeks. Thanks to New Star Med Spa and especially to Tessa.
