Extremely Disappointing Experience - 1 Star I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Model Home Furnishings Frisco, and I must say it has been nothing short of a nightmare. I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with the hope that others can avoid the same ordeal. Firstly, the delivery of my furniture was a disaster. Upon arrival, I discovered that a significant portion of the items were damaged. It's evident that the company lacks proper quality control measures, as the extent of the damage was unacceptable. The furniture, which I had eagerly anticipated, now sits in my home as a constant reminder of the disappointment I endured. Most of the furniture comes from India and is up to the manufactures discretion to fix upon delivery. Moving from California we spent $40,000 for furniture. The bar stools we received were damaged. The 10,000.00 custom couch came incomplete and now our 2,500 bedroom dressers are inoperable. I was shocked to discover that we would have to pay to fix the issue which is estimated an additional $300.00. Let me also add this furniture is less than a year old. The wait times were equally frustrating. I understand that delays can occur, but the excessive waiting period I experienced was beyond reasonable. It felt like an eternity between placing my order and finally receiving the damaged goods. The lack of communication and transparency regarding these delays only added to my frustration. In the waiting period I would have to initiate calls/emails to the store requesting updates which is unacceptable. Moreover, the customer service I encountered was abysmal. Attempts to seek assistance or resolution for the recent damages were met with indifference and unhelpfulness. It was as if the company had no regard for customer satisfaction. Dealing with their support team left me feeling more exasperated than before, as my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. In summary, I strongly advise against choosing Model Home Furnishings for your furniture needs. The combination of damaged goods, extended wait times, and deplorable customer service make it an experience I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a company that values its customers and their hard-earned money.

I had the best shopping experience that I've had in a very long time and I design homes for a living so I shop ALOT! The showroom is stunning, the sales people are incredible to work with...it didn't feel like work on my part, and everyone knew their stuff so I was able to speed through my wishlist in no time. I will absolutely be shopping here because I don't get anywhere close to the same experience anywhere else. Can't wait to go back and get inspired all over again. What a fantastic local find!

Appalled by the after sales customer care or lack there of and I would attribute it management for lack of training their staff. As this staff was willing to lose a long standing customer.When we made our purchase we were informed all items were available and we could expect delivery earlier than the six week lead time. When the six weeks had passed we called in only to learn to our surprise there is a delay in one of the item! Called again after the second lead time had passed and learned once again that there was a further delay!At which I asked to deliver items that were ready, they said there would be additional freight if they split delivery at which I disputed and that’s when the rep started reading out the terms of the contract and reminding me of what I had signed up for which I thought was truly uncalled for!So should I been disputing that the sale made was fraudulent as we were informed and assured all items were available at the time of sale?I wasn’t even canceling the order or asking for refund but stating it seemed unfair to charge us delivery again for delays when we had been informed all items were available and would be delivered earlier than expected.

Beautiful showroom, HORRIBLE customer service!!!! I too was told delivery would take 2-3 weeks, which was a LIE! No one bothered apologizing for the inconvenience of my shipment being overdue nor do they take the initiative to communicate any delays out of courtesy. I guess they make so much money that it doesn't matter if they lose trust with customers. It is unfortunate for not trusting the reviews. My experience was not different from the experiences shared a few years ago. No growth and no improvement in customer service. The only phone call initiated on their end was to say that my last piece in the order had arrived. As much as I like the items that I purchased, I would've canceled the order based soley on the service I experienced. Don't waste your time! Gloria T.

Worst customer service after the sale. Good luck with ever getting a call back. I had to save their number as a favorite due to having to keep calling them. Malia is our sales rep and never follows up. Their favorite answer is " I will call the warehouse and get back to you". Don't waste your time with this place! Lord knows what will happen when and if our furniture shows up!

The storefront is a little tricky to find, it is nestled into a warehouse office park. But as soon as you open the door, you are greeted with a completely transformed environment. The showroom is really beautiful.I liked the different setup of vignettes around, beautifully designed and curated. Fabulous art pieces and furniture that is tasteful and moderately priced.Several of the employees reached out to help while I was there, very friendly and engaging.I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and have source pieces for several upcoming projects!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

No refunds, marked up items and charges shipping and delivery (2 fees) when other sell cheaper and free shipping!!Shop anywhere else.This place orders furniture from other vendors and is basically a middle man. The products they supply you can find on Wayfair, Amazon or from the manufacturer directly. All other sellers are cheaper and don’t charge shipping. I ordered a dining room table from here and it was defective. The table wobbled horribly and leaned to one side. I contacted model home furnishings to let them know the issue. They do not issue refunds or exchanges. They said they would contact the manufacturer and get back to me. That was over a month ago. One of the bolts on the bottom of the table stand was excessively longer than the others and the whole table sat in that one bolt. For $1000 table with no chairs this is unacceptable. The customer service here is non existent.

We fell in love with a dining room table in their showroom that was too large for our space. We took their recommendation and ordered a smaller table, being told it was the same quality. When we received the table, it was horrible quality with a veneer top. So far, they have refused to allow a return of the table. We have purchased from this store on previous occasions but WILL NEVER purchase from them again.

My husband and I were pleased to find a furniture store in Dallas that caters to the modern furniture we wanted for our house. We are set up with Malia who was very sweet and knew exactly what we wanted to buy. We ended up buying 2 chairs, 8 dining room chairs and 2 couches with them. I will say everything arrived in time especially during COVID. We received all our furniture in August 2020.After we received our furniture we noticed that one of our dining room chairs was a little damaged. The sewing was unraveling. I immediately emailed Malia about this and she assured me that they would replace my chair. She also said it would take some time to get it here because of the pandemic. I was understanding of that as well. Well, one month passed, two months passed and I waited to hear back but nothing. I emailed Malia and she said the chair was in Austin. I was like great they will come soon. But, nope nothing came. Apparently there was some kind of hold. Again, I was understanding about that. So, I waited. We are now in Dec 2020. I emailed and called again this time asking to speak to the manager Her name is Sabrina. Well, she emailed me back that the because of the pandemic it would be Feb-March 2021 because there was some kind of hold up with the vendor. I was like okay, I will wait again. Fast forward to March 2021, after I heard nothing I called and left a message at the store Sabrina returned my call. She said that she would send over a "medic" out to come see my chair by the end of March. SO, that they can fix it. Malia ended up calling my husband (and yes we screened your call) they left a message saying if the medic came to fix it. Nope, no one showed up. I actually called out someone else at my own expense to get it fixed.Word of advice: Don't lie to your customers and always follow up. The amount of times I had to reach out to you all was absolutely absurd. Its surprising you all are still in business. I would not recommend them at all. At first, they are super nice and understanding but they will take your money and not deliver. If they couldn't get the chair they should have offered some kind of refund. Don't go here these people are scammers!

OhhhEmmmmGeeeee!!!!!! I am so in love with this place! They have the most beautiful home decor and furniture. I just got these chairs today and they were a perfect fit for my new place! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I’m looking forward to using them for my new bedroom sets. ❤️
