They took such good care of my baby! I was also impressed with the cleanliness, the overall calming vibe, and the professionalism of the staff. The vet on duty called us several times and never sounded rushed; she explained everything so thoroughly and in layman’s terms. I hope we have no need to take Lily there again, but if the need arises, I wouldn’t hesitate to take her there.

I am so very happy we found them!! It’s so hard when you are in an unfamiliar territory with medical issues with your family pet. It’s emotional. It’s overwhelming & sometimes it’s hard to think straight. They were amazing with the care of my pet (Boston Terrier) 5 years old - who has PLE. This is NOT what anyone expects & ongoing support & kindness we have received, helped us get through a very hard time. We have hope & we will forever be grateful for the love you showed not only our pet, but our family. Highly recommend. 10 STARS!

This emergency vet is not only grossly overpriced (based on past visits) but also severely understaffed (based on our latest visit). Saturdays and Sundays are clearly their busiest days, and yet they seem to have only one vet on premises.
We brought our dog in on Sunday, October 13th, and after 6 hours he had still not been seen by the doctor. We were told after four hours of waiting that he was next to be seen, and then after arriving at the clinic an hour and a half later were told he was again next to be seen. Two hours after first being told we were next, our dog still had not been seen by a doctor and we took our dog and went home; we will take him to our regular vet in the morning as a walk-in.
Clearly, the Frisco Emergency Pet Care clinic is too cheap to hire sufficient medical staff given that they are open 24x7, and is extremely poor at communicating and managing the expectations of their patients. The fact that they moved to a larger facility (which is probably where there money is going rather than to hiring veterinarians) does not mean they can or will provide better care if they don't have veterinarians present who can actually see patients. Fortunately, there are other emergency vets around and should we need it in the future, we absolutely will avoid Frisco Emergency Pet Care.
UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER’S COMMENTS: it’s really great to see that you have time reply to negative reviews, but don’t have the time to actually treat patients. There is absolutely nothing libelous about my comments since they are true. The only reason we went back this time is because of proximity. The fact that you think that you are less expensive than any other ER vet is laughable. Just like many businesses that build bigger facilities, you are unable to handle the increased number of patients and had to stop intakes today. As I said, fortunately there are other ER vets who know how to service patients.
I don’t know how long you’ve been a vet, but we have had Pugs for 35 years and are very familiar with their medical issues. You may be a good vet (although I have no proof that is the case) but you definitely are a poor manager and don’t know how to operate an emergency veterinary clinic.

We cant be more thankful to Dr. Patel for taking care of our dog when we brought him in for a checkup after we noticed some symptoms of our dog not being his normal self. She not only took care of our furbaby like her own but also ran full tests to be absolutely sure to determine the right course of treatment and diagnosis for him.
Highly recommend Frisco Emergency Vet and Dr Patel for anyone looking for the best and transparent care for their furbabies 24/7. The care and response time by their staff in a crunch situation is one of the best out there in dfw area

We all hate going to the ER, but when my boxer got into onions and my puppy got attacked by ants there was no better place to be at 2am. From the receptionist, to the techs, to the doctors they were all calming, reassuring, and knowledgable. The receptionist got my babies to the back quickly. The technicians made sure I knew everything before I left. I’m a little bit of a #DogMom and I knew my babies were getting the best care even though I couldn’t be back there with them.

I came to this hospital being referred from my vet, let me share my horrible experience with them. I went there on august 2 to save my cat which unfortunately the vet told me that he already died when I brought him. I got a call on august 14 from child protective services, the agent told me that she got a report from someone who work there that I was mean to my son. I explained to the child protective services agent that my son is 20 years old , he is an adult not a 13 years old boy based on their report to the child protective services. The agent apologized to me after I explained to her. I brought my cat to them to be saved but in the return I was wrongfully being accused by this person who works as a pet loss support , she was the one who reported me to the child protective services. BEWARE OF HER and STAY AWAY from this hospital. I want to share my story because I was falsely and wrongfully being accused by her without any evidence and proof. How DARE you said something that wasn’t even true and have a valid proof of evidence to backup your report about me!!!!!!!, I will NEVER go to this hospital again. It’s a BIG HORRIBLE MISTAKE and completely nightmare!!!!!!!. My son NEVER ASKS or NEEDS your voice!!!!!, he’s an adult. FALSE REPORT on someone without any SOLID PROOF OF EVIDENCE can lead to legal action!!!!!!.

My mini dachshund, Charlie, was recently hospitalized at Frisco Emergency Pet Care for three days due to ibuprofen poisoning. We had a great experience and I have nothing but good things to say. I’m a pretty anxious person so I ask a lot of questions, but I feel like it wasn’t an issue at all. The communication was so great. I got at least two phone calls from the doctors every day, as well as a picture of Charlie every day! I know her situation was dangerous, but they made me feel at ease through it all. Obviously there were other pets in the facility, but the doctors and staff made me feel like Charlie was their only patient. I was also able to visit Charlie every day and that made me feel more comfortable about everything. I obviously hope I never have to use an emergency vet again, but I will definitely come back to this place if I’m ever in that situation.
Thank you so much for everything! I don’t think Charlie would be here today without your help. I appreciate you and I know she does too!
Also here is one of the pictures that was sent to me when she was being hospitalized :)

Worth the drive! Won’t go anywhere else!
I was stunned with how amazing this place was. The absolute honesty when they owned up to a mistake and didn’t charge me for those extra care procedures they had to provide as a result. It’s not like I would’ve known or ever proven fault, and I can’t imagine other hospitals being so transparent and expecting no payment for that extra care they provided. It made me believe that they’re not just pushing for money like other clinics, and truly care for animals.
I had two other emergency clinics closer to me, but was concerned with all the negative reviews. I drove further to come here because of the amazing reviews, and they were right! The immense amount of care and empathy plus constant updates was amazing. They walked me through every step and took care to understand my financial needs. Whether you have limitless funds or have a very tight budget, they’ll work with you and do their best to meet your needs while giving your pet the best options they can. I’ve moved even farther away now, but I still won’t be going anywhere else!

My 12 year old dachshund died suddenly at home around midnight. Frisco Emergency Pet Care allowed me to come in with her and treated her and myself with the utmost compassion. Thank you for being there for us in a time of need.

My review is two parts : Front desk and then Dr. Shamrock.
Front desk - I dound the older lady and the intake receptionist to be uncaring and rude. We were shown ( not walked to a room). We waited 1 hr 20 min with not one single communication as to even if my pup was alive! They could have at least popped in with a quick update. PERIOD
Furthet, the lady with long brown curly hair gave me attitude and rude tone. She was the one who could get off her butt to escort is to room. Also, they have this strange sign at desk as you walk in - about positive energy! Hello people - most of us are freaked out and in emergency.
Dr. Shamrock- much compassion! And she sat in the floor with is and celebrated our win ! A miracle for our pup.

The doctor and staff were extremely respectful, patient, understanding, empathetic and professional. Even though we had to put our dog down so she wouldn’t suffer anymore, they helped us through this tragic situation and made us feel as secure and safe as possible. They didn’t make me feel they were out for my money and I highly recommend.
Edit: Thank you for this thoughtful card, Dr. Burnside. We appreciate you?

This place is amazing and has saved our dogs multiple times! I brought in our senior dog Max to be checked for a potential pancreatitis, the diagnosis was confirmed. Dr. Nelson provided the alternatives for treatment really taking everything into account (our dogs age, his medical history, etc) He proposed a sensible plan which is working and our dog is now recovering at home. The staff here is always friendly, caring and empathetic. I hope I don't need their services any time soon :) but if I do I'm so glad they are here to serve the community.
