I bought a 2015 convertible Camaro exactly one year ago. After the vehicle was delivered I contacted the dealership and noted that I see a discrepancy in the paint color of the front bumper that I did not notice when I was purchasing the car.
Maybe it was just freshly painted (as when I initially reached out to them the pictures that they posted was showing some type of scratch on the bumper and I even called them about it), so it seemed fair that they repainted it).
And indeed they repainted it with what appeared to be a cheap spray paint without color matching correctly to the original paint of the rest of the car and over time this became even more apparent.
When I reached out to the Sales person, David who sold me the car. He at first appeared to be most receptive about both taking care of this and the second key for the car which was just a dud (just a remote and they key was not actually cut).
But as the time has passed, nothing was happening.
I kept calling/texting asking when I can come over to have this taken care of as this was clearly miss-represented and in the end the response was that the car was already painted and it will remain 2 tone because of the "sun overtime on it".
They literally just painted it. What type of sun overtime had to pass to mess it up? And if you did not use a $20 can of paint it would not have faded over a week period. I was directed to speak with a manager, Brandon Ragland who re-iterated the same statements basically.
I was assured initially that this would be taken care of and IT should have been taken care of as this is clear miss-representation of the problem.
Just look at the picture of the bumper as it looks now and you'll see what I mean paint literally peeling away fading and clear coat is going aside from the actual color discrepancy.
On top of that the actual bumper was not mounted correctly and there is a gap on one side.
Make sure you read between the lines and bring someone with you who actually knows cars top to bottom if you are buying a used vehicle at this dealership.
If you walk off the lot you can forget about getting anything done afterwards as I learned the hard way.
Best just take your business somewhere they offer a few days return policy so you can have a peace of mind to validate your purchase.
