City Vet has numerous extra inflated charges. The require you to get bloodwork for teeth cleaning. Healthy humans are not required to have bloodwork! Husband is a surgeon and said ridiculous. If you want to get prescriptions elsewhere, they make it excruciatingly painful. Never going back.

I'm extremely displeased with CityVet Frisco because they are overpriced and use scammy practices to trick people into higher-than practical pricing and unnecessary services. I called to find out what they would charge for neutering our 1-year-old cat, Tom. I'd previously gotten some vaccinations and deworming for him when we first got him. They would NOT tell me how much they'd charge for neutering, only saying it depends and that they'd first make us get more vaccinations and have an exam - for nearly $200 (he's an indoor-only cat). We went in for this exam and I got them to reduce the price for that as they had already tested and dewormed him the year prior (why didn't they figure that out before creating a list of charges?). Once they gave him the shots and examined him (took 10-15 minutes only), they then quoted a price of $559 to neuter him! They basically would only allow me to opt out of chipping him for $91 dollars which was going to be done while was anesthetized. Their vet told me part of the screening requirement was to tell if the kitty had cryptorchidism (an undescended testicle) whereupon I scoffed, "I can see with my own two eyes he doesn't have cryptorchidism!" Their vet laughed when I said that. Seriously, cryptorchidism, as though they needed to charge me $200 exam to determine that?!? This is a bait-and-switch scam where they lure you in with unnecessary fees and procedures only to then declare an unreasonable cost to do what you actually want! $750 total for a neutering procedure when it's all said and done is outrageous!!! I left and immediately called a nearby vet who quoted me HALF OF WHAT CITYVET CHARGES! They are BANKING ON YOU figuring you've already sunk $200 to trick you into paying even more! Bad review for not posting prices on your website, for not being flat out honest with me on the phone when I asked for prices, and for overcharging for standard procedures.
Do not choose this chainstore-marketed vet business: go with a friendly old local independent veterinarian who deals honestly and openly without tricking you into higher and higher costs. They could offer to factor in an initial exam for "cryptorchidism" or whatnot into a reasonable upfront cost like a plumber who charges $100 just for the inspection/diagnosis and offer to deduct that from the ultimate cost.
Save your money, do not be treated like this - go elsewhere.

First I'd like to thank Megan for doing an awesome job grooming my dog. I had been going to this other place over the last 2 years having my dog groomed and it was ok. Since I've been here, I'll never go anywhere else. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable about my dog needs. Thanks

Megan did an AMAZING job on my 3 year old Pembroke Welsh corgi and the front desk personnel is also EXCEPTIONAL!

Dr. Deeke at CityVet Frisco is an exceptional veterinarian who shows remarkable care and compassion for our two Goldendoodles. Her gentle approach and genuine love for animals make every visit stress-free for our dogs. Dr. Deeke takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, ensuring we feel comfortable and informed about their health. We trust her completely, and our doodles seem to adore her as well. It’s rare to find someone so patient and kind, and we couldn’t ask for a better vet to care for our furry family members! Highly recommended!

Took my 10 year old American Staffy in for his annual exam and had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Rech. He was very personable, took his time with Ryder and listened to my concerns about Ryders health as he ages. I followed his recommendations and got my dog on a better regime and I am looking forward to continuing our relationship with CityVet in the future. The front staff is fantastic as well and loved on my pup so much when we were checking out. Thank you again for the wonderful experience!

This is my second time visiting CityVet Frisco. The staff is beyond amazing, knowledgeable, and kind. They treat you and your pet like family, not just a client. They take the time to review everything with you. And they call to follow-up, when needed. When we walk in, my dog thinks we’re going for a play date versus the vet!
