This is an amazing club! I want to shout out the Life cafe. They have been so helpful in finding the right pre-workouts and always have the best service. Joshua specifically has a smile on his face each time I come here. The Cafe is clean and well maintained- the food is yummy and the environment is calm and inviting. Thank you!

I joined feb 2020. I was a public school teacher when i joined so unlike some of these comments the club is made of all walks of life, not all people are wealthy. I am now a student and now 10 mo postpartum. I had to convince my husband to help me keep my membership here since I no longer teach (since it is expensive). I come because I really like it here and coming has helped me regain sensation in my leg. I rehabed myself after giving birth. Coming here I have lost 41 pounds. This place has everything.I practically know the majority of the staff. Most of the staff know my sons name when we check in and they greet us. I like the facials Britney gives, the hair cuts rozee gives, I love all the staff members from kids academy, the trainers, and the manager Jill. Like any place you may have a hiccups that happen, but for the most part they fix the issues. The monthly price is expensive for me ,but it is worth it to me. I come almost 5 days a week. I always bring my son. I work out and other days I do my homework in the Cafe. I drop off my son at kids academy he is 10 months. My son smiles and laughs with Ms. Lisa. My son loves her ? ❤️ and he enjoys the other amazing staff members. You read previous comments.... Ignore the negative feedback. People can be very picky or feel entitled & like any other place you will always complaints from people.

Every time we go to this place, the water don’t work, and any kind of excuses it’s not open . You’re wasting your time if you signed up for this place …Well, I think the locker rooms need to be a little cleaner, but stuff is nice and seems to be clean everywhere else. Machine are broken for month. If you pay a premium, you should get premium service.

This lifetime is going downhill. The acting GM doesn’t take care of basic maintenance requests water fountains not working, sauna floor unstable, men’s locker room an absolute disaster black mold, dirty, no clean towels, floors wet, no water pressure from mineral build up, amongst many other things. AC was out for 6-8 weeks. Multiple times have asked to have someone contact me to express my concerns not once has anyone reached out. She also allows non-member pickleball players to use the gym! What’s the point of being a member and paying to when others can use it without!

I’ve been a member for over 4 years and it’s the best decision I’ve made! Through the kindness and encouragement from the trainers and coaches, I’ve gone from a person who never worked out into someone who gets pure joy from working out 4-6 times a week. My cardiovascular health has improved tremendously. The facility is clean and the staff are amazing. Highly recommend the Tennis program. Love Coach Lester, Aaron, Louie…THE BEST!!! The dance classes are incredible! Trent, Daniel and Jennifer…rockstars! Pickleball is a blast. The classes like Shred, Yoga, Cycle… I could go on and on. It’s not just a gym and it a community for fitness. My Lifetime Family.

Got a membership partially for use of the jacuzzis. But these are the worst jacuzzis I have ever used in my entire life. The water is not even remotely hot and the jets are weaker than pool circulation jets. Temperature should be closer to 102-103 degrees and jets need a motor of at least 3x capacity.

Had a negative experience trying to set up my membership. I have access to this particular gym location through a gym membership access plan through our health insurance. According to the health insurance and the location whenever you sign up your membership is supposed to be active immediately however I was turned away unable to set up my membership on the same day that I signed up. I offered to show validation of my active membership which was declined by the front desk staff because they said that they could not find it in their system. I brought physical evidence of the membership card and that still was not enough to activate the membership. In addition to this before signing up I called this specific location to verify what type of level of membership my insurance plan would allow and I was told that it would allow the highest level of membership however when I presented in person I was told that it would only allow the basic level of membership which means that some of the services that I was expecting to be able to access I will no longer be able to access. I was also told that they have limited ability to sign up memberships after 6:00 p.m. which was never advised either by the location when I called before I purchased the membership nor by my insurance. All in all it was a wasted trip and not a pleasant experience. Do not know if I will be maintaining this location as my home gym based on this experience.

I have been a member of Lifetime Friendswood for about five years. When I first started going there it was pleasant; it had an organic friendly atmosphere about it. It was a friendly place where white people were welcome. Somewhere in 2022 or 2023 some management changes were made. I noticed that the friendly white people that worked there were either fired or they left on their own account. I believe that there is a black man in management there now. So the whole environment there is socialized to please black men. You will notice that there are not any black women working there. The gym is overpriced. I lot of the well to do moneyed people get it as a perk of job insurance or their kids get it from their parents' health insurance. They are bringing in a lot of money from people that really aren't paying attention. I believe that the employees are taught or pressured into behaving or acting in only ways that the management wants. This gym is no longer white friendly. This gym has been socialized in a particular way; it has become MOJO oriented so if you are a GIMP , or a sort of loser then you are welcome. It is not a place where white people are encouraged to associate among themselves nor are they welcome. The negativity inside the gym is matched by crime in the parking lot. I drove up one day and I noticed how a suburban had one of it's rear windows smashed out. Most of the time the security guards are always black too. I don't like to have to say it but every bit of it is true.

Today was my first day coming to the and let me tell you ignore all this complaining in the reviews. Honestly, the locker room was nice and clean. The shower were clean as well and I liked that they had towels EVERYWHERE! The pool felt amazing and the over all gym was incredible. I felt comfortable, and that's rare for me inside of a gym. NOW let's talk about the staff, EVERY single staff member I talked to was super friendly and the people out front went above and beyond for me. Is it a little pricey compared to other gyms YES but other gyms have no where near the same experience or amenities. So your paying for the luxury.

I've been a member at Lifetime Baybrook for almost 5 years, and while the gym does have some nice features, it's really not worth the high cost. The AC on the pickleball and basketball courts has been broken for nearly two months now, making it uncomfortably hot and stuffy, with no clear timeline for repair. It seems the gym's focus has shifted primarily to pickleball leagues, with courts fully booked every weeknight, prioritizing revenue over member experience. While the weight lifting equipment and classes are decent, the locker rooms are consistently dirty, and the AC issues extend there as well. For the price they charge, I expected much better maintenance and overall quality.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Gym is not worth it unless you get it for free through your job or insurance. Women’s locker room is nasty, showers are nasty, hair every where restrooms are semi decent sometimes, and there was a stain in the same spot for 5 days before it was cleaned. Im not sure why they do not have a cleaning company go in at night and clean this place if the people who are supposed to don’t seem to have the time.
Apparently there is no real manager right now, but even then whoever was managing was doing a terrible job at it. I think they are very under staffed in the cleaning department i see the same 2-3 people cleaning a giant gym and looking exhausted which may explain why its gone sooo downhill. Machines have cobwebs and look like they haven't been cleaned since 2017. Saw them dust once and was during prime time gym time and dust was flying everywhere and into peoples eyes. The front desk employees are so nice and people in the cafe as well are too.
Only decent thing here is pickleball if it’s not over 90 degrees outside and the 3 courts inside are not reserved.

I have said this to the front desk multiple times but it gets nowhere so here I am. The trainers are fantastic and the front desk is friendly. Hospitality is severely lacking.
The weight floor is cleaner than most gyms but weights are usually all over the place. Doesn’t seem to be anyone putting them back where they belong at the end of the day or maybe once during the day. I know members should be doing this but not everyone is respectful.
The locker rooms are another story. I can only speak for the men’s but I can’t describe it as clean. Dirty towels almost always overflowing, wet floors everywhere, hair in every shower (and showers that barely work). They say they clean the sauna every day but I highly doubt that. You walk into the locker room and it does not feel like the upper end gym you pay for. It’s gross.
It’s honestly a 3 star gym with 4-5 star pricing. Shame because the trainers are so great - they deserve better support. Good friendly crowd too, just wish they had a better hospitality team…
3 stars because it has a wide range of equipment and amenities and the trainers are so great.

Clean and nice gym BUT lockers are constantly breaking and locking people out. It happens to me and my friends daily. Need to replace.
