I'd give this idiot place 0 star or -5 !!!
Rude ppl, unprofessional, everyone with an attitude literally EVERYONE!
They charging $100 escorts! And another $100 for trailer wash which is my trailer was clean and vacuumed!
6 hours to get loaded!
You're going to face bunch of dumb rules like if you picking up or delivering to a state prison or an important building!!!!
Seriously one of the very terrible places I've ever been to!
As a professional truck driver I absolutely won't go back to that place again!

Port doesn't allow kids, period. No weapons security. But it takes forever to get loaded outside your truck in the Texas heat. With mosquitoes. Overall kinda sucked.

Hell on earth. With a TWIC they check in one truck at a time, one truck per hour. If you're 3rd in line you won't get loaded before lunch so you'll have to wait til about 2pm.
Only upside is that the staff is generally quite nice.

Do they allow overnight parking

Absolutely very poorly organized, and keep in mind that if you do not bring the permit to load at the port, they will charge you $100 dollars,
There are no bathrooms, there is nothing to eat, it took more than 10 hours just to load
So that they come prepared

Very good people, excellent service, fast loading, overnight parking, if you do not have TWIC you have to pay the escort fee, it is 100 dollars (they accept all types of payment methods except cash)

Without a TWIC card pull into the dirt parking lot directly across the street Look or wait for the escort and expect the escort payment of $80 . SAFETY VEST REQUIRED! The escort will then send you across the street to get checked in. Then walk back to your truck and wait for the call or the escort will wave for you to follow.

Here is how this works if you do not have a TWIC card. They will not tell you this stuff ahead of time
1) Park in dirt lot across from the main entrance that says "Non TWIC drivers" and has an arrow. You should see a Ports America vehicle parked off to the side in the dirt lot. That is who you should see first. If there isn't one parked there then they should return shortly
2) You will need your ID, tractor license plate number/state, and $80 to be escorted thru the port of entry. They do take fleet checks such as Comcheck, EFS, etc. This is a maritime facility so you will have to be escorted if you don't have a TWIC card
3) They should give you instructions on how to proceed after that but if they don't follow these instructions. Usually after you settle everything with Ports America you will then check in at the sign marked Dole Fruit across from the dirt lot. They are supposed to call you when they're ready for you to be loaded and you will follow the Ports America vehicle to the loading docks. Check in with the loading dock personnel once you arrive at the loading docks. They may put you in a dock right away or might have you wait if one isn't available. The loading process is relatively quick once they start loading
4) You will have to ask the person driving the Ports America vehicle if they allow overnight parking in that dirt lot where you first checked in. I had time to travel so had no need for overnight parking
