Workers are kind and the store is always clean, prices are just excessive for the area and leave not much choice for residents as its the only grocery store in town with the next closest full size store being in lake jackson.

There r better ways to manage a place like not close the meat counter at 5 pm and if their is someone their on their first day stay their and help him/her they don't know what to do even the manager didn't know how to weigh the shrimp we got even though they were close something tells me they need to train a little better

I love that mostly the same workers are there every time I shop. The meat dept is fantastic; in fact everyone is. However, I have a problem with your political statement by having a young man pretending to be a woman working the deli. I will not participate in his delusion by allowing him to serve me. In fact, I may not shop there much longer. I don't appreciate purveyors who make political stands, especially such unhealthy ones.

Arlan's Market is a basic small town grocery store. It's well kept & clean. It has smaller produce dept than larger chain stores but the selection is good and fresh. Arlan's is known for basically 2 things in Freeport; the good meat and unfortunately the high prices. It's also unfortunate that they're the ONLY grocery stores in the town. No competitor other than the Dollar General type with no meat or produce. If it wasn't for the high prices, I'd do more shopping there. Right now, with the cost of groceries as high as they are, my budget requires a trip to Clute or LJ for the restock pantry shopping trips. Nice, courteous staff and the deli is good. MON-SUN 7AM-10PM.
