My first visit to this vet actually did not go well. They asked me to come in at 1:30, and when I arrived, which was after their lunch break, there were 2 other customers waiting. After waiting 30 minutes I asked if I was close to being next, and the lady behind the counter said they had booked 3 appointments at 1:30, one of which was an emergency, but they only have 2 treatment rooms. I felt like if they had overbooked due to an emergency someone should have come out and told me I would be waiting a while, instead of me sitting there 30 minutes before having to ASK how much longer it would be. I ended up leaving without seeing the vet. But then Dr. Pilmer called me later that day and apologized, and said if I had time to come back she would get me right in. This was obviously a very pleasant surprise, and not something I've ever experienced before. I ended up going back and had a very good experience. I will very likely go back now because of Dr. Pilmer's concern and follow-up after my initial experience.

There aren't enough great things to say about Hill Country Vet Clinic. It has been a staple in the community since the 80's and seems to get better as time goes on. Each and every person who works there is compassionate, patient, loving and understanding not only to their clients but also to their furry patients. I have two dogs - a 17 year old and 1.5 year old and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. The hour drive is worth it for me to get the best care for my children :)

Incredibly kind and thoughtful practice. They came in on a holiday to take care of our very sick puppy, and she is still with us because of their response. We could not be more grateful!

Dr. Liljeberg was so wonderful with our fur babies. She was able to diagnose the root cause for both our pups who were displaying different symptoms. Other Vets were unsuccessful, but she took the time to run the right tests to get our answers. She listens to pet parents and is a true trusted doctor. We found our new home to take our beloved pets. Thank you Dr!!!

Was traveling from Chicago and my Samantha developed an ear infection. Contacted the clinic they got me in same day. The staff the techs and the doctor were great. To my shock when the bill came I was amazed at how reasonable the charges were. If you have an animal issue this is the place to go. They treated my girl so well. Thx to all at the clinic couldn’t have asked for better care or service. God bless all.

Came here because I found a baby squirrel that fell out of the tree. Still had it eyes closed. They took it to rehab. Thank you ladies.

The only reason I rated this a 4 star is because of the pricing of services utilized. Staff was friendly, seemed to care about the animals coming in and service options and recommendations were offered. Prices were never really discussed, except for optional meds. Was definitely price shock when it was time to pay the bill. 2 dogs - shots and one neutering of our 7 month old was a little over $600. My fault for not initially asking pricing. Had read prices of other vet clinics in the area and was way less, but staff had bad reviews at those clinics. Recommend this clinic, but ask about prices beforehand a good idea.

Visited Hill Country Vet while vacationing for my pups possible UTI. The office was super friendly and got her in same day. Dr Jensen was sweet and thorough. So grateful for their help.

Both me and the cat like this place, and the people. Everyone is friendly and easy going and the veterinarians are great. I drive 1 1/2 hrs to get here, and it's worth it.

Dr. Jensen was so caring and attentive to our emergency. Thankful to have a veterinarian hospital respond to emergency calls and be able to take care of our babies.
