My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary trip at Cotton Gin Village! It's a beautiful property, so tranquil. The cabins are cozy and cute, and it's just down the road from Main Street, so plenty close to the places we wanted to visit. Breakfast was fantastic and - I'm guessing because it's a slower time of year - about twenty minutes early, which was great for us. Cabernet Grill was the best food we had of several very tasty places during our stay. The one and only thing I would advise is that the village consider adding citronella torches or candles to keep the mosquitos at bay so guests can enjoy the outdoors without getting eaten up! Otherwise, definitely bring your own repellent when the mosquitos are out in force.

My husband and I stayed in Fredericksburg this weekend for our anniversary. We both had never been, but we’re so happy we stayed at Cotton Gin Village! Our stay was pretty near perfect - we stayed in the Nueces building and loved the ample space, the furnishings/decor were rustic, as pictured, but were still nice, the towels provided were really soft, and my husband especially loved the rainfall shower.
The property itself was gorgeous, a tad bit of a maze but there were plenty of directional signage to help you find where you were going. Plenty of free guest parking, we never had any issues finding a spot close to our building. We loved having breakfast delivered to our door each day, can’t beat that! Some of the items weren’t mine or my husband’s favorite, but it still beats a basic continental breakfast buffet.
Lastly, we had a reservation to visit Cabernet Grill on Friday and that was a fantastic experience. The staff was very friendly (from hosts to our server - John S.), the service was surprisingly fast (for a fancier place), and our food was perfect. Could not have asked for a better meal - the biscuits are INCREDIBLE.
We obviously had a great experience and will be recommending this place to everyone and will be staying here again when we come back!

We enjoyed our stay. It's like a step back in time with attention taken to every detail. They didn't miss on modern amenities either. The grounds are so beautiful with beautiful plants and water features. The cabin was very nice. We stayed in the Pecos cabin. The bed was a little too firm for us, but that's just a personal preference. We had a welcome box with cookies and all of the fixings for s'mores. Fun! They bring a picnic basket breakfast in the morning that is to die for. Check out the pictures. This should be your next stay in Fredericksburg.

Such a great place to get away! The Amish breakfast basket in the morning was fantastic! Beautifully landscaped grounds, quiet location and amazing attention to detail.

Cabernet Grill is Hill Country elegant! We had the Lion's Mane Mushroom as an appetizer, the filet mignon with cheesy grits and vegetables. For dessert, my husband had their signature cake and I had their cheesecake dessert. Everything was too notch!

Great for a getaway. Great for couples. Prob not for families or kids. Little details and touches that made the stay extra special for us. You must eat at the on site restaurant as well. And the hot breakfast delivered to your cabin in the morning is beyond amazing.

Stayed once before. Dinner at the restaurant was good. While the rooms are cozy, and the breakfast was my favorite part, their new policy on 3 night minimums isn't worth it if you're looking for a small weekend getaway. Service is the bare minimum. How disappointing that the owners found a way to price gouge without having to always offer full services to guests. This policy would be understandable for special dates or Holidays but not every weekend. Plenty of other quaint places to choose from in Fredericksburg.

We love this place! Everything so far has been amazing, and this has been one of our best experiences! It’s so romantic, cozy, and welcoming. We love the fresh cookies, and the breakfast delivered in a basket is fantastic! We want to make it a yearly tradition to come back.
