The shop is beautiful and well organized with lots of different options for yarn color, weight, and texture. If you like picking up locally dyed yarn, W7W has their own in-house line! Hunter was super welcoming and even gave us a walk-through of the yarn dyeing space they use for their Dyeing 101 course! We live about two hours away, but this shop is now a must-visit when we're in FW.

I visited West 7th Wool on a rainy afternoon recently while in Fort Worth to attend a professional conference. I found the shop and its owners to be delightful. The shop was spotless, organized, and had a homey feel. It was a pleasure to spend time at a LYS. ❤️

This was my first time visiting West 7th Wool and what a treat I was in for! As soon as we walked in it was obvious they had a great range of yarn, notions and a really nice, well laid out space. We were greeted straight away and the lady was kind enough to explain the layout of the store.
Wandering around, they have a great range of well-known indie yarn dyers and what I call "standard" brands. They also have an in-house dye studio which is stunning! Hunter was at the shop and was kind enough to give us a tour, let us ask questions and shared all kinds of cool info about how he goes about the process. This was the highlight of my day!! I love love love their range of colours and had to get some before I left.
It seemed like a class/group was setting up as we were leaving, and they had a great space for that too.
I definitely recommend this yarn store - probably the best one I've been to in terms of range of offerings and openness, to date.
Thanks so much for taking the time to welcome some out-of-towners to your shop. I will definitely be back and I'll definitely be recommending it to my friends!

I love this place so much! The owners are unbelievably kind and helpful and I always look forward to discussing projects with them. The selection of yarn and accessories is really impressive and I've never had an issue finding what I need. Additionally, the layout and flow of this shop is very intuitive and relaxing.
I haven't attended any classes/events from W7W, but there are always plenty of things going on in the shop and hopefully one day I will sign up for a class.
Nothing but great things to say about this place!

Good selection of all the different weights of good yarn. If you are looking for cheap yarn, this is not the place for you. Wonderful selection of wools. Will unwind purchased yarn, free of charge. I'm happy not to have to purchase my wool yarn online. Now, if they would just carry Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece, I would be a happy camper. They also carry big bottles of Eucalan no-rinse wool wash. If you've never used this before, it's a real treat. I even bring it on vacation (in a 2.4 oz shampoo container), so as not to pack as much.

Store is in a great location, very large assortment, really nice place.They have a large assortment to choose and are quite focused on keeping the floor stocked, & having a very tidy, very cute store.Regarding the assistance... The review by Ellycia Knauber, that was discredited, is very much on point. I watched as my repeat buyer wife was handed the same experience - little assistance. And we found out that we are not worth a "long" 15-minute investment of the owner's time to wind the purchased yarn at closing time, to keep us from having to make another 30-minute drive the next day to pick up our order. Unfortunately, we also had to leave without purchasing - totally not our desire.Edited: My hope, just as I called, is that you will learn the high value of customer acquisition and retention, and "closing time", as you have a very fine store and many nice reviews, Hunter. 15 minutes spent with a repeat customer is, just as you say, invaluable. My wife and I both have a background in retail management of a large retailer & also as a buyer, domestically & internationally. I would absolutely write up my "employee" for failing to stay 10-15 minutes to ring up someone who was 5 minutes after close. Especially if I found out they called ahead, spoke with the owner about their arrival time, & were told to come to the store at that time.
