Not the best of places if you’re looking for any kind of help. Employee was not helpful just pointed over to a general area where the plans were, and said they are labeled- without even getting off the chair. Not a pleasant experience.

Very unhelpful, walked in, looked around, asked the lady at the front desk for help, and she said in a rude tone “With what!?” Then I said “I needed help finding a good side plant to put by my couch, I don’t know much about plants and came here to find some guidance.”
She then said, “Well you should know what you want before coming in here.” “you need to do your research.”
(That’s what I came there for.) Lol
I was puzzled because I thought this was a plant nursery and could get some guidance and help to find a nice plant to take home and learn what I needed to take care of it.
Then she also said, “well all of these are inside plants so duh that’s why they are all inside.”
Like what!??
I have never had to write a bad review but this was so unprofessional and very rude.

Went there for the first time today, the girl at the cashier didn’t acknowledged us at all. Plants are overpriced (a tiny Squami for $70??). I asked the girl a question on something and she responded like she didn’t want to make an effort to respond or talk at all.
Also, I was interested in a Hoya ($30 online somewhere else, but $90 here??), but glad I made multiple inspections, because there were MEALIES on it!!! Wish I took a pic, but I was grossed out and we left. With that attitude and unreasonable price: Girl, bye!

Would love to rate higher but…terrible customer service. I walked in today on my birthday to buy a new plant for my house. The girl working must have been having a bad day. She was astoundingly rude from the beginning. Instead of making it an experience I was looking forward to (I shared it was my birthday and a gift to myself), I walked right back out after the first five minute conversation. Her deadeye-look and stare made me run out of there.
It’s beautiful inside with a great selection. Just pray you don’t have the girl there who turned me off from ever coming back. Too bad

This is concerning the employee SHAE/SHAY/however you spell it….
I walked in to Urban Plantology and approached an employee in the middle of her ON THE CLOCK SNACK and asked her if I had a question about a specific plant could she answer it, and she replied “no” by shaking her head and continued to chew on her food…
I then asked, “ok, is there someone else that can answer a question I have?”
Shae/Shay responded, “GOOGLE IT.”
I said, “Well ok then…”
This is probably the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Needless to say I will not be spending my money at Urban Plantology.
I suggest Shae/Shay uses GOOGLE to learn a little more about the product she’s selling.

I am in town for a conference, and this charming shop lured me in through the courtyard. I walked in to Norah Jones coming through the speakers and an absolute tropical plant heaven. Shée (I hope I spelled her name correctly) is an absolute delight and so knowledgeable. If it weren’t for the cold, I do believe a few of your Hoyas would be going back to Columbia, SC with me. I did see a card that reminded me of a dear friend, so I bought that and know she will love it.

An absolute heaven for plant lovers. A very pleasant atmosphere with a wife variety of plants. The giant pothos plant is my favorite in the whole bunch yet each one has qualities of its own.

Cute little place! Not the best selection but nice. Now onto the bad parts! The plants are waaaaay over priced for simple plants that can be found almost at any big box store for half the price! The store is for upper class people (who can afford to live in the city and are okay with spending 12 dollars for a 3 leaf pathos) The parking is the worst! The hours are kind of made up really. The people are nice so that's good but that's all I can say. Please lower the price and maybe just maybe you'll get a sale!

Unique tropical plants, they create weaved hanging baskets in different colors as well. The African violet color variety was terrific as well. Highly suggest getting a coffee across the street by going to this store and not in the courtyard. Wonderful experience!

A neat shop, lots of unusual plants, but pricey. Sadly though, if you ask for a tip at the POS, we are done. So, we are done.

Most of their selection can be found in larger pots for half the price or less at any other seller. Nothing here is particularly rare. The terrarium class is a good selling point if you're looking for a date, but aside from that I will never shop here. They literally had a tiny philodendron brasil with only 5 leaves in a 4in pot marked for $60. Any person with even the slightest knowledge of horticulture or botany would laugh and walk out just as I did.

Overpriced. Not a great selection. Much better plant shops elsewhere.
