Clean and well organized but online ordering is a nightmare. I've never had a good online ordering experience. If an item is unavailable and I choose not to substitute in still charged more, if I choose to substitute with another item of the same brand just a different flavor, I'm charged more (i got two of the EXACT SAME item bc the other flavor wasn't available and was charged 20 cents more for the 2nd one.)
Ordering fruit and veggies online is an absolute no no. They seem to go out of their way to choose fruit that's already too ripe or bruised or gross. Refrigerated and frozen items are partially melted and/or nearing room temperature, and chatting with someone on the app... I'd rather pull my eyelashes out with my toes one at a time. You also don't get to choose what to substitute your non available items for. The app had a bogo coupon for Mrs Bairdz bread, i got one of each of the ones available, one of the flavors was unavailable so they tried to substitute it with Sara Lee... which wasn't a part of the coupon... WHY? So I decline it and I'm charged for it. I know this is a technology issue more so than the actual store but who the he|| wants Sara Lee instead of Mrs Bairdz if there's a bogo coupon? Shopping in store is fine but remembering to clip all the coupons can cost you 5x as much sometimes. With all of that being said... I'll still shop here before Walmart except for DD coffee.. it's $7 cheaper at Walmart. The staff has always been nice and helpful but the online ordering is so annoying. It took me two hours to get a 48 cent refund.

Tom Thumb is over priced and this location has a horrible produce selection. I looked at 4 different cherry tomato packages- all were beginning to rot. Same with the avocado bags-multiple were so soft when you gently squeezed the avocado it would rupture the skin. I’d much rather drive 20min to go to H‑E‑B where I could pick out produce blindfolded and be 99% confident that it’s not rotten or expired. Also, they have better selection, better prices, and the music they play is a plus.

When the 3rd party delivery service failed to deliver my groceries, Richard Gordan went above and beyond to drop everything and personally deliver my groceries. You just don't find that level of customer service these days. Richard was a delight and very personable to boot. Thank you.

Overall a good store, but their deli counter makes you feel like you could be waiting for 30 seconds or 30 minutes, as the team doesn’t really acknowledge you until they are absolutely ready.

I specifically went to Tom Thumb to get produce and something sweet for my boys and me. Went to the donuts area and found them covered in fruit flies. Told the two baker ladies there, a black woman and a white woman, who cared nothing of what I brought to their attention. The black woman said thanks and both continued their conversation unbothered by the information given. That was awful to see as Tom Thumb seems nice and are expensive, but at closer inspection, it’s not all that. Most items on the shelves are dusty, too. They need be as good as they pretend to be based on their prices.

The deli remains a haunted place in this store, with an eerie, "whistling past the graveyard" vibe. The employees in this department are obviously dysfunctional and miserable, and as others have pointed out, you have to wait forever for service if you get any at all. Tom Thumb used to be so nice, but now it is a shadow of its former self. I suspect a problem with management, as fish rot from the head.

Good evening all. I hope everyone is doing well in their respective lives. Today during my visit at Tom Thumb let's just say I was completely disrepected as a customer and a man secondly, what I consider to be a situation of walking on sunshine only for the clouds to roll in. This all occured within the last minutes of my visit. The store and decor we can ignore and everything is nice with a bit of sugar and spice. As I have now did the aisle race to find everything my household needs, I approach the checkout line to find an associate by the name of "Anna". Anna's light wasn't on and this I miss. She abruptly yelled out that she was closed and not taking any additional customers. Her tone very uninviting and scolding in nature. I naturally find the next available line and am now being checked out by a male associate. As he is ringing my items up, "Anna" opens her partition to my back and hits me with the door. I turn around and she is now speaking with a new customer that she is now checking out. 2 individuals are now waiting behind this person and she has made no effort to inform them that she is in fact closed. These ladies didnt share my skin tone, but they did share my desire just to simply checked out. I then say to "Anna", "Miss did you realize you hit me with your partition"? She continues to speak with the lady that is before her. She then turns and says, "Did you not hear me? I said sorry". Her tone in a condescending undertone that seems very close to gas-lighting and less like an authentic apology. It was almost as if she was attempting to illicit some kind of violent response from me. This energy you have to experience to know is one of the weirdest to encounter. After paying for my things I waited patiently to speak with the manager on duty. I told her of my experience and she apologized whole heartedly. The issue I am having is "Anna" walks over to listen in as I was speaking with the manager. This entire experience was very unnecessary. As human-beings we deserve to treat each other with respect and decorum. This was missing from my interactions today outside of the manager and the nice gentleman that helped me. I hope better for everyone moving forward.

Cinthya was very rude when I asked for help, she said I have to keep waiting or comeback later on guest services, I wait in there for more than 20 minutes and she knew that, a cashier tried to help me and she didn’t let her, very disappointed
