I have been living here for several months now and have had a great experience with both the office staff and maintenance. They are always really quick to respond to any requests. Johanna in the office has gone above and beyond to be helpful and is just a really kind person. I definitely feel like they care about their residents here and not just filling units. If you are looking for an apartment in the River District, you should put The Standard on your list for sure!

I came in and met with Bonnie. She was so sweet and professional when giving a tour. I really enjoyed all the amenities the property has to offer. She was able to answer all my questions thoroughly. I will definitely be back to Standard River District.

I am thankful to say that my home searching is over due to the assistance of Kiara and Johannah! I did not have the perfect situation, and when others said no...they found a way to say YES!! Thank you for giving me a chance!! I will forever be indebted to you for your consideration. Thanks again!!

I can't use the words I want to describe how downright horrendous this place is. From the management, to the self-absorbed "residents" who don't follow the rules and think they are the only ones who live here, to the overpriced poorly built property it's a dumpster fire at best.1) The parking garage has more pay to park spots than regular spots. It's borderline extortion and way to squeeze more money out of residents. It's also far from secure and there are no cameras. There have been multiple vehicles stolen, broken into and people assaulted. ZERO heads up from the management.2) The garbage area on each floor is beyond disgusting. A lot of people are too lazy to put their trash down the chute. Not to mention, you are charged a valet trash fee to take out your own garbage. Another example of borderline extortion to squeeze more more money our of residents.3) There's a lot of sketchy criminal activity taking place on the property. Everything from stalking to assaults and "hand to hand business transactions." The building I lived in constantly smelled like weed and parties at all hours of the day and night. ZERO F's given by the management.4) As mentioned in other reviews, there are several apartments "rented" via AirBnB. As a resident, you aren't allowed to sublet or lease your apartment short term. Just an example that the management company and ownership group don't give an F about their residents.5) Smash and grab in package delivery room. Didn't hear a peep about until one of my neighbors told me. Then the management decided to actually inform residents via email.6) I left my apartment in very good condition when I moved out. Also had it professionally cleaned and I received $100.00 back from my $400 deposit.I lived here multiple years and the property has declined exponentially with each management/ownership change (at least 4). The area is ok but like everything else, these apartments are overpriced for what you get and what you have to deal with. If you value your peace, do not move here.

I lived at the Standard for a year. Had I written this review around the time of move out, I would have given 3 stars. However, I am now 61 days after my move out date and still have not received my refund despite many emails with the manager.Pros: the apartment itself was very nice and maintenance was always quick to respond to needs. The gym and other amenities are also nice and well looked after. I appreciated the fridge in the package room, as I regularly order from imperfect foods.Cons: obviously, withholding my refund is a huge con. The dog park is astroturf which means that in the summer it smells... so bad. There are few sidewalks in the area to walk, so other options to take my dog out were limited. The parking garage has far more reserved spots than people who pay for reserved spots, meaning that despite many empty spots, it is rare that you actually get to park on your floor and often meant that I had to park on the roof in the visitor spots. Speaking of visitor spots, they are on the roof of the parking garage but there is no code to open the gate, so you have to go down and open the gate with your clicker any time you have guests. I have heard other residents complain about the units that they use as airbnbs, but I believe that they are in building 2 and I wasn't really affected by them. The visibility to turn onto Rogers Cutoff Road is completely blocked by the parallel parking spots, and I was almost hit several times trying to turn left because I couldn't see.

I moved over from Dallas to Fort Worth and was excited to see the photos online, the security measures, and a closeness to work. When I moved in I attributed the unclean surfaces, gnats, wasp larvae, and dead flies to the old tenant, but was absolutely wrong. I petitioned the front desk and even the city 7 months out of the 14 month lease about a fire hydrant leak right outside the apartment thinking that would fix it. Once it was fixed, the bugs didn’t go away. The entirety of my lease was a battle with bugs, smells from the dog park, finding parking spots in the garage, checking to see that I got packages I wasn’t alerted by the package tech for, and incredible heat no matter where you were in the complex due to lack of trees and air flow. Even after noting all of these problems I was having throughout the lease and on the move-in forms, the complex decided to charge me $450 to clean it, remove carpeting, a “pet cleaning fee”, and more. I got $0 of my $400 security deposit back and had to PAY $52 on top of it. This doesn’t include the $20 per month of pet rent AND a non-refundable $400 pet deposit. I am so upset with this complex. DON’T LIVE HERE. LIVE AT MERCANTILE ACROSS THE STREET! It has some stuff that isn’t perfect, but it’s so much better than the Standard!

DON’T SIGN THE LEASE! This is by far one of the worst apartment complexes I’ve ever stayed in! There have been MULTIPLE BREAK INS TO VEHICLES! THERE HAVE BEEN PACKAGES STOLEN OUT OF THE PACKAGE ROOM ( NOT CHEAP STUFF EITHER)! The parking garage doesn’t have cameras. The gates break all the time so this is definitely NOT A SAFE PLACE to live with or without children. The manager is sleeping with the resource officer here. The sad part is OTHER APARTMENT COMPLEXES KNOW ABOUT THIS MANAGER SCREWING THE RESOURCE OFFICER even the mailman/women! There’s dog feces everywhere in the complex the hallways smell just like it and the scent goes into your apartment. The amenities suck especially the pool. They have so many signs out front saying move in ready because it’s dangerous and it just sucks to live here. The list is so long it’s ridiculous! RUN WHILE YOU CAN!

Kiara is the best employee I have encountered here! She is so professional, and passionate about what she does. Kiara answered all my questions, and eased my worries when it came to this process that has become such a pivotal moment in my life. She even managed to make my parents who tagged along feel comfortable as well, which is quite the task. For all your The Standard River District needs Kiara is the way to go!!!

I’ve lived here since July 2021 and I am so glad that it was time for me to move out. This is probably the worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. I wouldn’t recommend anyone living here:- The people who work at the office are neither courteous nor professional. That explains the extremely high staff turnover. It’s getting worse by the day.- There are very few parking spots reserved for residents.- Trash chutes are always overflowing. The place is a health hazard! Always look where you are stepping, there is dog feces everywhere including the hallways- It’s not safe. There are always suspicious people sitting in their vehicles in the parking garage. If you decide to live here make sure that you have a ring camera installed or great renters insurance.- There is always a strong smell of marijuana sipping in through the cabinets and hallways. ( I have complained about this many times and nothing was done).- On your move out date, they will deny you the right to have a walkthrough. If you have any other options, please stay away from this place!

Are looking for an apartment complex where you walk out of your apartment door and there was dog feces in front of it almost everyday? Have you ever lived in an apartment complex where the manager is sleeping with the officer on that lives on the property? Then you’ve found it. This apartment complex is nowhere close to great especially for military families. We received a noise complaint from the manager saying we were being too loud when we weren’t even in that state! How do you get a noise complaint on vacation? Don’t bother wasting your money. The pool is the small and the amenities are trash.

I recently moved into the Standard apartments. I came from a nearby complex where management was subpar at best. I was hesitant at first, but Johannah the property manager, put mind at ease. She's very professional and detailed oriented and was always available for any questions that I had. She was extremely helpful and instrumental in getting what I was looking for, and I'm confident that she and her staff will always be there for me in the future. So far my experience at the Standard has been excellent, and Johannah made that possible. Thank you!

We've been apartment hunting for a while now. We recently toured the Standard River District Apartments and was amazed by the property and the staff. The proprty was very clean and appeared very well managed. Johannah is so knowledgeable about the property and the area. She is very detailed oriented and professional. We felt very comfortable talking with her about our personal situation. I would highly recommend this apartment complex.

I have been living here for multiple years, and since the management hand-over to Johannah the complex has become a much more cleaned up and friendly place. She has insured that any issues or fixes I've needed have been done in a timely manner. It's been a pleasure to live here. Her open door policy, attention to detail, and customer service has been awesome.
